Matsusaka city, known in Matsusaka beef is located at the center of the Mie Prefecture.

無料で公開していると聞いて訪れました。とても立派なお屋敷ですが、無料で見学できます。いただける資料も立派です。伊勢商人はどれだけ成功したのだろう。すごいな~と思いました。庭園も見学できました。

Museum of Motoori Norinaga

Motoori Norinaga was a medical doctor in Edo era. He was interested in Japanese old documents and books, especially in "Kojiki" - Japanese old myth.
As "Kojiki" was written in different way than as of Edo era, no one could understand the exact descriptions. Norinaga tried to translate into understandable ones.
The museum provides the information who he was, how he learnt and what he achieved. The exhibited materials are very informative.

松坂城の石垣を登っていく中腹付近にあります。
入場料は大人400円ですが、とても価値ある時間でした。
18世紀の代表的な日本古典研究家である本居宣長邸は、
宣長が木綿商の家に生まれるが、医者となるために学問に
励んだお部屋が修復されそのまま残っています。
医業の傍ら主著は他に『源氏物語玉の小櫛』、『玉勝間』等がこの部屋で執筆されたと思うと感慨深いです。

の 大阪側からは 終盤の地に なります。地の野菜は新鮮で 安い。チョビチョビと品物増えていっています。ここは 風呂、レストラン、物品の販売と 何時も車が 沢山駐車しています。

JR松坂駅からは近いところにあります。この付近におきましては江戸時代の街並みがいろいろと残されており、とっても情緒あふれるような光景をいろいろと見かけることができました。

駐車場にC58のSLが静態展示されていますが、管理されていないのか行く度にサビが目立つようになっているのが残念です。
施設は芝生の大きな広場があり、気持ち良いです。
幼児用の遊具や、猿のミニ動物園、プラネタリウムもあります。
アスレチックは小学高学年向きな難度でした。
休日にはお弁当を持って多くの子供連れで賑わっている良い施設です。
県営松阪球場や松阪市営屋外プールもあります。
