Vikingecenter Fyrkat includes partly the ring fortress, originally erected in 980, with the reconstructed house made exclusively of oak, partly the Viking yard app. 1 km away with 9 houses, reconstructed on the basis of a "manor" dug out by Vorbasse. During the season, the Viking farm frames different activities for and with the visitors. The Viking farm also includes a museum shop and a visiting centre where, a. o., you can try Viking clothes.
Located in a valley southwest of Alborg, the town is called Hobro and dates from 980 AD. Its now an Enterprise where people play (staff play), Viking living like iron age doing chores on looms, and cooking outside. Its an encircled encampment, a Fyrkat or Foretress.

It's hard to reach it by public transportation and kinda far away from city center. They didn't maintain it and put some flag on wrong country. Unfortunately they didn't put flag on my country, and they put Singapore flag on my country. They have restaurant and playing arena for kids. It's perfect to bring kids here but for adult it doesn't worth.

I was there for couple times. First time I can't go there because they have some occasion. And the 2nd times I was really lucky. It's open and nobody there, so I can take some pictures and know more about this church. Unfortunately, they wrote everything on Dansk. So I didn't understand anything :) but someone translate it for me. It was worth!

The museum is located at the harbour of Hobro town and is housed in one of the picturesque old grain warehouses. The specialisation of the museum is yachting in its widest sense. Take a walk through the Exhibitions of the museum which show everything from old boats to more recent communication equipment. Come onboard on the yacht "Silvana", which has been owned by the Royal Danish customs authorities. Feel the scent of tar and wood. Enjoy the boats and the impressive wooden constructions of the buildings.
Et rigtig godt sted at besøge, hvis man har interesse for gamle skibe. Der er ved at blive bygget et gammelt træskib om, på den gamle måde

This a beautifully maintained old stone church surrounded by a well maintained cemetery. It is open to the public and well worth a visit.

I was morning run on Sunday morning here. It was fun. The view was good, fresh air and I found cheap market there. Everyone come there to sell everything that they want. As a buyer, we can bargain it :)
