The signature for Hvidsten Kro is the "Recipe" which dates back 70 or more years. This is a list of various foods, cold, warm, cold cuts, etc. all put together by one of the former owners together with the local Vet. I guarantee - you will not be able to finish this off, so take my advice and order only a half portion and you will survive this attack on your tastebuds and stomach to have the second half the day after. WONDERFUL food!

The restaurant is very nice and has a good atmosphere. They have a nice variation of food, and they serve various specials on every weekday. Has a variation of meat from exotic animals.

Not the best pizza, but not the worse. Missing that they slide their own kebab from a grill, instead of using factory made junk kebab.

We went to Nida's for the first time and did not expect much but we got great food. We ordered pizza and burgers. The pizza was packed with toppings and had a great taste. We will be back next time in Hobro.

Staying in a nearby B&B we tried to go and have dinner. We went there by 6.30, 6.45 pm and when we went in, we just were told that they had no food left. We asked where we could go and we're just told "to town". My husband is 71 and I am 58 (French but speaking good English), so we did not look like grubby strangers and we could have hoped for more help or the proposal of a simple meal.
Happily, it was the only terrible experience during our 2 weeks trip in Denmark where we enjoyed a lovely welcome everywhere

Aporta has become our absolute "must go to" place whenever we are in the neighbourhood. Their classic Danish open sandwiches are fantastic and the service is always quick, attentive and efficient. It is just pure "hygge" to sit in the garden and enjoy a perfect traditional Danish lunch. We will be back soon!

Välj på meny 2-4 rätter eller a la carte samt dagens rätt. Bra service med många tjänare, snabb och trevlig personal.
Serverade en appetizer medan man väntade på sin beställning, bra. Testade majs kyckling på en bädd av skogs svamp, vällagat och riktigt gott. Trevlig ombonad miljö trots att lokalen är stor. Varierad vinlista till ok priser.

This charming old hotel in buildings from 1710 has recently been taken over by Tommy Skjødt,who has spent a million kroner on restoring this old Postal Inn with a very good result: lovely comfortable beds in small cosy rooms at reasonable prices including a good breakfast . The restaurant offers typical Danish dishes with a twist and the staff is very helpful.the hotel stands at the centre of this peaceful town, known as the 'Town of Roses'.

Some years ago i found this nice hotel and restaurant by accident. I specifically upon my phone call from the higway asked for a room with a bathtup and the answer was "yes yours will have a jucuszzi" ;-) "Do you want to eat when you get her+" - Yes! "Hot or Cold?" - Hot please - "okay se you in an hour" so now with one hand on the steering whell and placing the phone on the passenger seat I knew I was on the way for a surprise. I have visited this place several times since and recommended it for many of my friends who also now go there frequently. The restaurant offers a daily menu with a limited selection of wines. its is constantly being rebuild and the new suite no 7 offer a two store flat complete with living room kitchen and spa bath. The surroundings offer a very scenic view og the historic area. Simply go there and fell welcommed by the 2 big White German Sheppards and relax.
