This is in such disrepair it is not worth going to see it. It would be if it was repaired and maintained.

it's well maintained any popular with locals I think. We saw a lot famillies in Luna Park whick is situated throught the park and many lovers sitting around benches. Surprisingly Quiet place. We enjoyed the walk through it.
Went to Oasis restaurant in the park. I liked the interior of the restaurant. But the waiters don't speak any english. Also ordering food was funny. Everything we wanted they didn't hawe. So better that to get your hopes up with the menu, just ask what do they have. :)

More or less like every museum of local history. Entry is 1'000 AMD. Not much information in English but you don't need it because everything is very well presented.

The gallery is set up to showcase the 620 works of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan, sisters, whose works are fairly easy to comprehend and beautiful to look at. Each sister has her own floor in this enormous building that used to be their home and has twice been hit by earthquakes and rebuilt. Plan to spend about 2hours going through the gallery, admiring the pieces and learning about the talented sisters.

The Black Fortress, known locally as Sev Berd, is a Russian imperial fortress built during the Russo-Turkish War of 1828-1829. Today it is still occupied by the Russian military. We approached the front gate and asked if we could enter the fortress -- we were told it is not open to tourists. A shame, because this could be a really cool tourist attraction. I hope one day Armenia truly realizes the cultural value of its historic buildings and develops this, as well as many other sites, into a place where people can learn and enjoy the history.

Gyumri( Alexandropol) is the 2nd largest city of Armenia. It is around 126 km north of the capital Yerevan.Very nice small city ,severely damaged by earthquake(1988) and restored after that.Old town visit with several museums, and old houses deserve an afternoon. It is the birth place of many Armenians like: Avetik Isahakyan -poet,Hovhannes Shiraz-poet,Vazgen Manukyan-former Prime Minister of Armenia,....
I highly advise for a day here and around.
