My husband and I had a FANTASTIC time on our 8-Day Wild Irish Rover Tour in mid-September! We had looked forward to it for so long, and it met and far exceeded any expectations we may have had! We felt like we had been totally immersed in the Irish culture and history, folklore, music, people. Our guide's (Darran) passion for his country was amazing. His gift of story telling and knowledge of Irish history, folklore, music, culture was incredible. His energy, positive attitude, ready smile, easy laugh and sense of humor set the tone for our group dynamics all 8 days of the tour ~ and it was fantastic! No one wanted it to end. Your attention to every detail did not go unnoticed. The van was comfortable, always clean-inside and out. Flexible planning, prompt departures (it's not easy to mobilize 12 people) anticipating our needs, calls to set up experiences (the sheep farm, Dingle Crystal), dinner and lunch Reservations, irish coffee and biscuits at "the top of the world", a dip in the sea, off the beaten path drives....took advantage of every opportunity to experience Ireland. We loved every outdoor/active experience from visiting historical ruins and sites, hiking, scenery stops, kayaking, biking, picnics, pub visits. Each day's plan was perfectly orchestrated to take advantage of every opportunity and get us out of the bus and active! The accommodations, breakfasts, and lodging hosts were all so comfortable, well prepared and warmly welcoming! I can't think of a single flaw to the whole experience. We will be talking about this to our friends, neighbors and family and encouraging any/all to visit and experience Ireland with Vagabond! We are so sad that it's over and wish we could do it all over again! THANK you, thank you, thank you, Darran, and the Vagabond team, for a travel experience of a lifetime. We really did fall in love with your beautiful country of Ireland!

A friend told me about this place and i have tp say it like an Aladdin's cave
It does be rocking at the weekends. The atmosphere is super. When the DJ gits gong this place is really rocking
Super selection of drinks and the staff behind the bar are a great bunch
The selection of chairs and stools always makes me smile as you could think you were after taking over your Grannies House is one section and feel like you in a library creating a rocus in another section

Walk from Bray to Greystones, get the full view of the coastline, and meander up the streets in Greystones to visit one of the many eateries Greystones has to offer, The Happy Pear, Bouys, The Hungry Monk, Bakers Table and of course the 3 Q's. if you have time stop into La Touche Wines for a glass and some finger food, and meet all the locals. Great venue, if you are staying the night nearby catch some live music in the Hot Spot, on Fridays and Saturday nights, or catch a session on Sundays. there is always something happening in Greystones.

At the beautiful old boat yard by the coast, at Greystones harbour, the Boat Yard Gallery showcases art and designs from local artists in a 200 year old stone building. Landscape Photography Gallery, Art Gallery, Handmade Jewellery Workshop, Picture Framing and Printing.
The Boat Yard opened some time ago, but this was the first opportunity to visit for us.
The yard was set up with a marquee and that was filled with local artists and traders selling artwork, photography, handmade jewellery and candles to name a few things.
Outside the marquee there was coffee served and Christmas trees for sale, along with handmade chairs which were beautiful, if somewhat pricey.
The Gallery itself is small and gets crowded easily so it's hard to really appreciate the art on the walls. The gallery also sells framed photography and handmade silverware.
It's a nice place to visit, but would really only visit again if I'm actually in the market for anything sold there.

Newtownmountkennedy was our destination when we stumbled on the Glenview hotel Glen of the Downs, Co Wicklow. Stopping in for lunch we were immediately struck by the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Recently having hurt her back I advised my wife to select a table in the bar while I went to order for us. When I returned with the food 3 of the staff had already approached my wife with menus and advise on what to order as well as offering to bring the food from the self service area.
Our lunch was most tasty and very reasonable. The lady serving the sandwiches had great pride in the hotel lamenting to me we had not chosen to stay the night there.
Later that night we selected Vinos restaurant in Greystones for dinner. My wife had mussels and pork escalope while I enjoyed crab claws and confit duck. All in including wine dinner was €73, the staff were lovely and the restaurant is very cosy.
Sunday morning we returned to Greystones for breakfast in Summervilles cafe, cyclists and bikers alike were queuing for tables and the glorious Sunshine added to an unforeseen experience. Breakfast was a full Irish for my better half and scrambled eggs, sour-dough and chutney for me followed by the most sublime cappuccino and carrot cake. Summervilles has a family friendly character enhanced by the smell of fresh baking.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Greystone experience and look forward to our next visit.

Very friendly and informative staff. The designs are gorgeous and there are stunning pieces in every price bracket. I love that they can take an old piece of jewellery and refashion. We love working with clients to reuse their old precious jewellery. Many thanks

We hope we will take you on an adventure of past and new memories of your favourite sweets and chocolates. Bullseyes, Clove Rock, Bon Bons, Fudge, Jellies, Sugar Free, Gobstoppers, Nougat, and Liquorice, yes, the list is endless but that is the way Aunty Nellie likes it! Along with this we have ice cream bar with soft serve and scooped ice cream from our artisian friends Featherbed Farm. Our shop will take your breath away. A great visit to add to your trip when in Greystones.
Staff dont seem to understand that gloves are used to protect the product, and that if they handle cash with their gloves, this can contaminate the product.
Hopefully the HSE / a health inspector will visit and explain this before someone is made very ill by poor hygiene practices.

Playing in a group of 8 people, we all had a really terrific day’s golf in Greystones. The course was in fabulous condition - greens and fairways were just about perfect - if only our shots and putts could match!
And as for the setting - well what can I say - with Wicklow Mountains in the background and some smashing views of the Irish sea, what more could you ask?
I guess the old adage about the first 9 being easiest came true for me, at least, as the back 9 seemed much harder on this, my first visit. And, despite local advice and cautious layups, two of our fourball managed to catch the obvious water hazard, faced with old wooden railway sleepers, before the 17th green.
Weather was great and we finished just before dark - all in all a great day spent in good company.
I’d definitely recommend this course as one of the better venues close to Dublin.

Played today. No great views, No thinking required for a shot. Club house - personnel short and not helpful. Restaurant - poor with ignorant staff. Where they were found? Somewhere back in the 80s when hospitality was not a requirement. Plus: Greens were kept well.
