It's hard to describe what a wonderful spot the Combloux Lac is but for about €5 per person you get to swim in a very unusual man made lake while looking up at the snowy peaks of Mont Blanc. And no, it is not heated. But the lake is one thing, there is a sauna there, a hammam, you can have a massage, there is a lovely shaded restaurant that will not break the bank.
But the lake and its huge enormous view is what takes your breath away each time. That said, if you are a large group it would be wiser and a lot cheaper to head to the lake at Passy.

Megeve is beautiful. The Chemin du Calvaire is accessible from the town centre. The tourist office people were very friendly and provided a map and information. The trail is a short distance, a bit steep but not far and definitely worth the walk.

Visited the milking session in the afternoon around 6pm. We were able to go in the stable and meet and pet all the cows and the babies as well! We were able to milk a cow if we wanted to. The visit was done by a young lady who is interning at the farm! She answered all our cow related questions and was amazing! My little 2 year old Nephew and 4 year old loved playing with the baby veals !
After the visit you can go buy some delicious cheese and milk! We bought 2 kgs of different cheeses and some yogurt and some milk. The milk is delicious- doesn't taste or smell cowish- it's delicious!

After months of uncertainty, with the restaurant closed and rumours of no re-opening this year, the restaurant is open again as of today. With only 2 weeks notice, and us arriving more than an hour before opening time, this review is based on potential.
The new management is charming, helpful, and full of ideas and ambition. Hopefully the Commune de Passy, owners of the facility, will provide the resources to allow them to make a success of this wonderful location.
We look forward to being impressed when we next visit.
Passy, please pay attention!

ENJOY NATURE ! Take this rack railway with an unique view of the Aiguilles de Chamonix and the Dômes de Miage to reach the Bellevue Plateau and discover some beautiful walks ideal for families. Take the train, up to Nid d’Aigle for a splendid view of the Bionnassay glacier.
Wonderful train ride up the side of the mountain. Get off at the top, take a short hike to the edge of the glacier to have our picnic lunch looking up at Mount Blanc. Then short hike back take the train ride back down the mountain.Took tons of photos......
I'll do it again. Highly recommeneded.

A unique church with a unique story and unique stunning artwork. A fascinating diversion and well worth a visit. Free parking, free entry and free guided tours from very knowledgeable guides in English.

This lovely Baroque style church, built in honor of the Assumption of Mary is amazingly restored, providing a step back in time to the 1780’s. The building itself is small and the first thing you notice on the outside in the alcoves are wooden images, whose simplicity leave you totally unprepared for the splendor that is inside. It’s a good place to visit on hot or very cold days, while walking around the town. Be aware that is it a functional church, and you can even catch a wedding if there in the Spring or Summer on a Saturday. Cordon is about 20 min away from Chamonix but well worth visiting this area if you are there for a few days.
