Cathedral in Algiers.
The church located on the cliff, overlooking the cities and Mediterranean Sea. It's the great position to feel Algiers with beautiful view. When time approaches sunset, the mixture of red and blue creates the romantic purple above the sea level, great experience! 座落在懸涯上的聖母教堂,眺望山城和地中海。這絕對是觀看阿爾及爾的好位置!當時間接近日落,紅與藍撞擊出醉人的紫色,美的好浪漫!

A 100 year old suspension bridge at a great height over the gorge of river Rhumel. People scared of heights beware as this is suspended at a great height over the river. But it's a must see for ppl visiting the city of Constantine. For the enthusiasts not scared of heights, there is also a cable car that crosses the gorge at almost the same height as the bridge :)

This ancient stone fort offers breathtaking views of the city and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. There is parking available right below in front of a lovely statue of Santa Maria. A not overly steep path brings you up to the fort on foot in under ten minutes. A very pleasant guide was available to give information and answer questions about the Spanish invaders, who built the fort. The vegetation along the way, cacti and what looked like aloe, was fun to see also. Definitely worth a visit.

It was really nice and interesting to see all the remains of buildings, temples, forums. Wonderful view of all pillars from a basilica? towards the sea. I went there and admired it, and actually thought it would be fun to have a picnic there (assuming no leftovers left of course) and feel like to be there during that blooming time a long time ago.
Many trees were there and they gave shade so it felt really comfortable.

Palace has been restored after the French destroyed it. The stucco and tile work in the interior is incredible. There was an exhibition of exquisite women's period costumes in the Palace. Beautifully displayed. Excellent view overlooking the city from the fortress. One can easily spend an hour going through the complex.

This ancient city still demonstrates Roman grid town planning.
Timgad is huge, and has some amazing set-piece ruins. It is the best and largest ruins I have visited.
The city includes a theatre, colonnaded streets, communal toilets, excellent triumphal arch and a tall temple ruin. Unlike other Roman ruin sites in Algeria, there will be local and international tourists at Timgad (also at Djemila and Tipaza).
Two negative points, the Byzantine fortress can't be visited, and the museum is currently closed.

Cuicul Roman Ruins otherwise known as Djemila, was outstanding. As you climbed up the hill toward the museum you walk through the earliest to the last age of the ruin instead of having the layers stacked on top of each other.
The only still standing monumental Roman horse trough is at Djemila and the horse trough alone makes the travel worthwhile.
Between the museum and the ruin is a small area with various stele. Do stop and take a look. A defaced stele meant ‘damnatio memoriae’, meaning that a person’s memory was attacked and largely erased. Otherwise known as "damnation". There are quite a few damned Romans about.
The museum was packed with fabulous mosaics pulled from the site. Photography is not allowed in the museum and someone watched carefully to make sure you put your camera away. The museum has a small guide book with photos of the better mosaics. The book is only available in French, but the photos are worth the purchase.
No on-site guides spoke English, so you have to book an English speaker elsewhere and bring them along. However, my guide had a bad knee and couldn't manage the very easy walking, so I listened for English and moved in to listen to other tours. None of the guides seemed to mind me listening in and 2 of them approached me to give me a few tidbits of history info.

The history behind this beautiful basilica is amazing. Of stunning moorish architecture (a Christian temple of islamic design and architecture, amazing). St Agustin preached in an early church build on top of Phoenician and Roman temples. He wrote The City of God right here.

Its a nice mall... has a variety of shops...by Algerian standards its good.. there is a childrens play centre area which is good, but expensive. There are is a good diversity in the food court; the only thing that was irritating was the layout of the escalators and lifts.. we kept getting lost trying to find them..no clear signs and not grouped together as it is in babezzour in Algiers.
