Isla del Fraile

I can think of no better secluded cove ( cala) where I would love to have a swim with my partner. The island is truly idyllic, isolated and mysterious ( there are all sorts of stories as to what happened there)
To get there can be a little tricky. We drove to the Isla del Fraile Housing Estate, drove the car up the mountain, parked, and then walked down the rugged terrain to the sea's edge. From there
you can swim to the island or just admire it.
We preferred to swim alone in one of the many little coves
facing the Island. Just delightful and for ever engraved
in my memory!

A wonderful, hidden cove, with breathtaking colours and a lovely, warm water. Especially nice if you have younger children, since the water between the rocks on the left side of the beach doesn't go too deep.

PADI 5* Scuba Diving Center, specialized in Teaching, from beginners to Instructors.Located in a wonderful area, ZOEA offers high quality dives

Reviewed By Chris1252 - Alicante, Spain

Zoea is an excellent PADI Dive Centre. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the boats and equipment are in very good order. Facilities include showers and a small shop. They offer special deals including group discounts and "stay and dive" packages in conjunction with the local hotel.
Although only having done 2 dives with them, they were of the highest order. The briefing was informative and comprehensive. Our guide was happy to go as slowly as we wanted in order to for us to take as many photos as we wanted.
I intend to return in a couple of months to try out more dive sites.

This building appears to be an old fishing boat, mounted on top of a building.
Despite the sign on the wall saying that the centro de interpretacion opened at 10am tuesdays to fridays, when i asked, i was told it didnt open until 12am - then it closes at 1pm for siesta.
Apart from that you can clamber around the old fishing boat and view the dozen or so tropical fish tanks, on display beneath the boat. Notices with descriptions of the taks contents are in English & Spanish.

Torre de Cabo Cope

Reviewed By Brian G - El Puerto de Mazarrón, Murcia, Spain

There is nothing to due once you get to the top except enjoy the magnificent Panorama over the Med and round to Cabo Cope. Perfect stop off for a picnic break. There are no toilets or places to eat also no people it's just perfect for a quite moment. Not really for kids as the drops over the edge would be terminal.

Embarcadero Del Hornillo

A trip to this part of town was recommended by our waitress at the Casa del Mar restaurant in town. The area is dominated by the now disused railway jetty that once served the mines in this area. Worth a visit just for the tranquility of the place - a different view of a Spain that used to be.

Can only add to the excellent reviews of others. This is a beautiful coastline and there is no better way to see it than on a boat. Spent a lovely evening sailing around the coast, some of the way serenaded by a great male singer. A fantastic thing to do whatever your age.
