We visited for lunch and managed to get the only outdoor table left, as a row of tables across the width of the restaurant, were set up for a party of Japanese tourists on a coach trip. We were warmly welcomed by Spartakos himself, and brought menus. There is a comprehensive choice of starters, fish mains, meat mains, pizzas and pasta dishes and desserts, as well as a full drinks menu, including wines.
My wife chose the mixed Greek platter for one and I chose the mixed fish platter for one. These are both available for two people. We had a separate portion of fries, which were tasty but unnecessary, as the platters were enormous. Both looked good and tasted even better but we were well stuffed after about three quarters and had to leave the rest. The restaurant had mainly families, out for Sunday lunch and the large group of tourists, who all appeared to be delighted with their 3 course set lunch.
In spite of the large group, everyone received the same attentive service. We finished with coffees and a nice glass of Metaxa 5 star. Just a pity we didn't have any room for the delicious looking cakes, that were brought to our neighbouring table. Great atmosphere, great lunch for just over €50 including all drinks. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

We were highly disappointed by Komis. The food was simply put feeble, overpriced and mediocre. Led astray by TripAdvisor, we went to Komis with ambitious expectations. The free of charge nibbles as starters and dessert didn't help our frustrations concerning the terrible value for money as for example the octopus was completely overcooked.
The restaurant does have a rustic charm, however bearing in mind the large bill, the portion sizes and quality of the meals, we wouldn't recommend a visit.

Taverna Akrotiri is a small family owned meat and vegetable taverna. It opens every May till October since 1983. It is being running entirely by 4 people; Petros, Danae, Caterina and Amanda Costi. It is located in a beautiful garden 3 km from Zakinthos Town.
Everything about this restaurant is just beautiful.
It's our third visit in several years and the standards remain high.
The food is fresh, presented excellently and tastes truly authentic.
The restaurant owners/staff are charming and gracious.
Eating here is a must if you wish to experience truly tasty food presented in a true Greek meze style.

We returned here many times throughout our stay in Agrassi. This is a great place for breakfast lunch tea & an evening snack. Or you could merely use this place as a stopover for drinks. They have a good range of snacks and drinks. They also have a great range of ice cream and chocolate desert’s here that are truly amazing. All of the staff here are warm and extremely friendly. Andreas is the star he talks to all the guests who visit his cafe sometimes he makes his way around the cafe speaking to everyone as if they were guests at his party. If there is something you request that he has not got at the cafe he would go out of his way to get it. Many times i have seen him jump on his scooter ride away and return with the requested item. Andreas is an asset to the cafe and most definitely the best host in the resort of Argassi. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here even just for drinks and to relax at any time of day or night. On our last night we spoke to Andreas and thanked him for his hospitality throughout our stay in Argassi he said you are very welcome, I do not have very much but i am more than happy to share what i do have with my guests.

We visited this restaurant primarily to listen to typical Zakynthos music (Cantades – we found better later…). Despite the fact that the restaurant is quite tourist oriented (we saw large groups of tourists with fixed menu) the food was very good, for instance the excellent aioli accompanying local vineyard beans. The music (unplugged) was also mostly tourist oriented (syrtaki etc.), but the musicians as well as the personnel were very sympathetic. No fruit or desert offered.

Taverna Dimitris is a family run traditional taverna in the port area close to st. Dionysios church. Here Dimitri's family and our friendly staff create a warm environment and invite you to taste the homemade food of Mama Katerina , from appetizers to traditional Greek dishes, fresh fish and meat grilled on our charcoal BBQ. Everything prepared with Mama's Love and passion for cooking. Adding up to that is the beautiful view of the port under the ever growing Eucalyptus trees, making almost certain your return for another unforgettable experience. If you are in Zakynthos town looking for a good meal at affordable price and a friendly environment ,Taverna Dimitris is your place.
Another great lunch at Taverna Dimitri. As usual, Dimitri was on good form, and Katerina's simple but tasty food a delight. Looking forward to seeing your Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor prominently displayed. All your hard work for your customers is worth more than a piece of paper, but glad to see yor food and service quality recognised. Φάγαμε καλά!

Dine in the historic St. Dennis square, while enjoying the marvelous port's view, with cool breeze under τhe shade of eucalyptus trees..P.s. public playground also available
We went for dinner and enjoyed sitting in this charming place.
Located on opposite to the harbor on a lovely Promenade.
First of all, the service in this place is great. The stuff is very friendly and attentive.
You can feel that all the ingredients are fresh. I mostly recommend on the appetizer of the grilled mushrooms and a main of grilled prawns.
The only reason I give this place only 4 points is that everything was very tasty but nothing extraordinary.

We asked our hotel receptionist to recommend a restaurant that the local Greeks go to and she suggested 'To Kantouni'. What a great recommendation!! Given all the 'excellent' reviews I'm amazed this is not top of the trip advisor list.
Firstly, there is no written menu because they freshly cook 6/7 main courses each day and the dishes change from one day to the next. Secondly, they only use organic ingredients. Thirdly, the service is extremely friendly and welcoming. Fourthly, the prices are reasonable.
Above all, the food is amazingly authentic. It's real rustic, home-made, village recipes which are totally delicious. You will not find their food in any regular taverna.
If you want to taste genuine greek food like the food eaten by greeks eat at home, then you just have to go to 'To Kantouni'. It's brilliant.
Our only disappointment was that it is only open during the day so we could not go back in the evenings.
