We were not able to travel far this Christmas so decided to try somewhere new in our local area. Had heard that The Quarryman was very good but we had never tried it. Thought this would be a good opportunity. Thought that one of their sizzling steaks would make a great alternative for a Christmas Eve lunch. It didn't disappoint! The steaks were huge, tender & delicious. Caramelised onions, mushrooms & chips on the side. All piping hot...served on metal plater that kept it hot until the last morsel.
There is a friendly welcome there. Good service. A cosy dinning area with a roaring fire. Our dog was welcome in the tiled dinning area. Plenty of parking. Just off the main Wadebrige to Padstow road. Nice countryside & views. All in all a good experience. Would defiantly eat there again. A good choice if you love a good steak.

Indian foods at its finest
Cons-
acoustics are terrible and when you’ve poor parents who let their children run riot it makes the noise unbearable.
The decor hasn’t been updated since about 1997 so looks tired and plain.
Pros-
More than make up for the cons. Great food, service impeccable, clean and reasonably priced. Not cheap but on the cusp of ok.
Well worth a visit, slightly off the Main Street overlooking the Camel

Good varied choices on the menu , and the Specials board.
We did have a small problem with one meal but it was dealt with in a polite efficient manner and we were totally happy with the outcome.
I particularly liked the fact the waiting staff checked every customer eating on every course , nice to see !!

Went to the seven course New Years Eve dinner at the Bridge Bistro and had a lovely time. Food was nicely presented and delightful. Didn’t think we would be able to eke out the meal for four hours until midnight but the courses weren’t rushed and we actually finished at 2355 which was perfect for fireworks viewed from the bridge. Courses ranged from soup, scallops, chicken, pork, granita, cheesecake to truffles. Very nice evening and will certainly do it again.

Set in 7 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside, the Pickwick Inn is one of North Cornwall's hidden gems. The award-winning pub and restaurant now has 9 luxury bedrooms, all with sweeping, uninterrupted views across the Camel Estuary to Padstow and Rock and out to sea. Beer garden and children's play area.
Excellent dinner with family. Well presented meal with good variety of choice on menu. Very pleasant staff,
good level of attention. Restaurand nicely furnished although the shape if the cutlery handles made it tricky to use. Nice wine list and the Merlot we drank was excellent. Would recommend.

Waiting for a hair dressing appointment , I decided to have tea and scone priced at £3.60 very reasonable I thought. But I asked for Earl Grey instead of normal blend. No worries I was told! No mention of extra costs!! But on paying I was made to pay £2.95 for the privilege off a teaspoon of Earl Grey tea!!! Rip Off it what! Shan't be going back even though I live in Wadebridge.

We had a lovely dinner at Mowhay. The building is interesting - diners are surrounded by artworks that are for sale. I was tempted by a couple of them! The staff are well organised, clear with the special dishes available, and attentive. The menu was excellent- I like being presented with difficult choices! We had lamb and plaice - the food was very well presented and had been beautifully prepared. Theee was a good wine list. We will definitely be booking again.
