Die Rohre is housed in such a unique, cylinder shaped building. It's as if we were eating inside of a log. It was modern but not over the top contemporary. We had the best spatzle here and both of our entrees were excellent!! For dessert we had a delicious waffle Sandwich with fresh pineapple, coconut ice cream, and caramel! The view from the balcony was also spectacular!

We stayed at this hotel so we found the food great. It must be good because the dining room was always full and many of these people came from the surrounding area and an occasional tour group also came from miles away just eat dinner.

This place was a good surprise after avoiding the crowded places near Mondsee, quiet friendly restaurant, very local with nice fish dishes and a random pick for dessert ! No English menu and not much spoken either so just try your luck. We haven't been disappointed with anything we ordered. Nice view of the lake and a nice walk after lunch, the perfect place for a summer afternoon or evening !

We drove along the shores of Salzkammergut as a way to escape the overcrowded Salzburg of the Festival's days. The area is really wonderful offering stupendous water colours of the lakes . From the shore , following a steep , narrow, winding uphill road we arrived to Druckerhof . The tables in the restaurant's garden offer an incomparable view of the whole area , its lakes and the mountain slopes opposimg it.
The menu includes mainly local cuisine , perhaps somehow restrictive but the meaals were tasty , well prepared.

Welcome in our family run restaurant "kirchenwirt"
A nice menu and friendly staff. We ate lunch there on a Sunday afternoon. I tried the trout and was pleased.

At the moment restaurant closed ! We open again April 2018.

Warm meals are served then between 11.00 to 21:00 . Monday and tuesday day-off . Very nice restaurant with good value for your money. The portions are very big and the quality is decent. They have a good childrens menu. There is a sea view allthough a bit limited, but at least I don't think you will be ripped off, which is quite easily done in the rest of the touristy St. Wolfgang. Restaurant is open from middle of April to middle of October and during Christmas-market!
What a great find- central situation and a fantastic menu. The garlic soup was totally scrummy. I had a vegetarian burger - was a bit apprehensive as veggie burgers can be bland and disappointing- but this was excellent. I sometimes struggle with menu options in Austria but they have an entire page devoted to veg options here as well as some huge meat dishes for the carnivores! Our waitress was delightful and really kind to the very tired little girl in our party. The prices were reasonable. In fact it was so good we are going back again tonight!!

The food in this place was excellent but the service was... well... confusing! When we walked in we were greeted by a young man who asked if we had reserved. I said we had and gave my name. I gave it to him and he asked for my surname. I told him I only reserved under my first name. He looked... perturbed, slightly annoyed, but found our table. It took a while for anyone to notice us but eventually we ordered from the one of the host of pretty waitresses, all dressed in Austrian costume. We had a lovely meal and things only started to go wrong when we ordered dessert. I had seen a plate pass the table with a small sample of 3/4 desserts on it, and asked if this was something they could do, a single portion of mixed desserts, to share with my daughter. They said yes. Great! So we ordered it. When it came it was HUGE, like the size of 3 desserts. I called our waitress over and asked if this was really only one dessert, and she said yes, it was just a bit larger as some things (like tiramisu' in a glass) could not really be divided. But when the bill came, predictably. we had been charged for 3 desserts. We didn't make a fuss as the food was good but as the waiter cleared our (empty!) plate he said: "Ït wasn't too large to finish huh?" You know what? Being stung for 3 desserts and mocked on top of it means I won't go back here, however good the food.

Excellent food-schnitzel was lovely as was the goulash and the chips. Ice cold draft local beer and a lovely setting in a square about a minutes walk from the lake. Manager/owner and staff spoke English which was a bonus. Are outside but popped in and looked around and would be a great place to go in colder weather to eat inside from what I saw. Staged a week here and came back twice.

We visited on a summer's evening and were very glad to catch the setting sun's rays on the towering cliffs behind the hotel. We were also glad we'd reserved, as it was full to bursting. Our party enjoyed the attentive service in the traditional decor, and the wide menu of traditional dishes. There's a good choice of fish, steaks and schnitzels, and we tested them to the full - the wine list of good too. We enjoyed possibly the best ever Schnitzel Cordon Bleu and Zwiebelrostrbraten, and the Rheinankerfilet too... We wish we lived nearby as it would become a regular haunt! Not expensive, either.

We have been coming to this hotel for 42 years which speaks for itself really! Over the years there have been many changes from the pool in the lake and outdoor jacuzzi to a whole new entrance to the hotel. We knew this year there...MoreMany many thanks for your review and compliments. It is good to hear that you like the changes we have made. We are looking very much forward to welcome you again Yours Gudrun Peter
