Can't remember how we found this..... Several antique timber adorned rooms on 1st floor and modern timber rooms on 2nd, prefererred the former. Very comfortable, clean and helpful staff. There's a smoking only downstairs Bar but on the 1st floor a couple of beautiful old rooms with tables in white linen+silver service fir dinner. Wine was local ...Merlot and excellent. Not a 5 Star hotel but a great old Swiss one!!

Motrice was conveniently located to the railway station. The main reason I chose this restaurant was because I didn't have much time between trains. The food was unexpectedly great. Even a simple dish, such as spaghetti pomodoro was memorable. Portions were generous and service was good. Prices were relatively low for Switzerland..

Am liebsten mögen wir die Gulaschsuppe, dazu auf der Terrasse sitzen und sich die Sonne auf den "Pelz" scheinen lassen, viel Besseres gibt es nicht. (Es gibt aber auch eine kleine Stube bei schlechtem oder kühlem Wetter)

The service is uncoordinated! I was asked several times what I wanted to drink but nobody really ordered and brought it! The pizza was good and better then the average in Switzerland. After the meal I ordered a Coke and after asking several times nothing was brought. Same story again.

Hi, I already sent you a message asking you to add this place to Tripadvisor. In response, you added it as a hotel. But it's both a hotel and a restaurant. And I can only review the restaurant bit. We ate there but didn't stay in the hotel. Could you please add it as a restaurant so I can review it?

we just went fot a few hours to Poschiavo when we tot the Bernina Express train.
The food was really nice, especially the Italian specialities. The girl that served us, spoke English, really friendly.
The restaurant (part of hotel which we didn't visit) is in the centre of the place, on a little square. Good protection against the sun. On wednesdays there is a small market.

We visited here on a day trip to Poschavio. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. The waitress was very attentive and explained the menu to us with an Ipad. We ordered our food and was told it may take a little longer than normal because the pasta was made fresh. We didn't have to wait too long before the food arrived and it was scrumptious. The best pasta that we have had in a long long time. It was very well presented and there was plenty of it. The restaurant its self is very quaint and rustic. There was also a bread and cake shop within it, well, we just couldn't refuse could we! The cakes were as good as the food. To be recommended.

I had to check the location to see if this was the same restaurant as the reviews were surprisingly good. The pumpkin cream soup was low quality dry package soup, the personal pizza was frozen pizza. 17 euro. Really?? And the don't take credit cards. We didn't stay after the soup ( made us ask if the pizza was frozen). Must give credit to the service however as they completely understood we didn't want the pizza and okayed our leaving with no charge.

Abbiamo fatto la passeggiata dall'Ospizio del Bernina al ristorante Belvedere, gita molto bella e ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante con una vista mozzafiato. la cucina è ottima, abbiamo preso una buona polenta con le uova al burro tutto cotto perfetto, belli tutti i piatti che vedevamo,Personale molto gentile e cordiale . A pochi metri c'è poi la fermata del trenino che ci riporta in cima

The aromas emanating from the kitchen were divine but unfortunately it was only mid morning and I just had time for a cup of coffee before my train set off back up the mountain towards Alp Grum and Pontresina. But I was told the food was superb in this little cafe right outsdide the station: it was December and I had my coffee out on the Terrace in warm Sunshine! Lovely friendly staff behind the food counter.
