I had reserved a table for Saturday, 17th August 2013, for me, my wife and another couple.
We arrived in time and we were greeted by the owner in person, who advised us what to take and didn't give us the menu.
We ordered 4 starters and 4 main dishes (3 meat and 1 fish), with 2 bottles of red wine TERAN.
We waited for our starters 1 full hour (!!), then we waited for 1 more hour to get our main dishes (!!). I had ordered mixed grilled meat with french frized: the portion of meat was the smallest and poorest I had ever seen (and believe me I know what I'm saying as I go to Cres-Losinj Island since I was born), no garniment in it. My french frized never arrived.
My wife's fish (branzino) was good but again small and with no garniment. Same for my friends' meat dishes, with the exception of the grilled lamb ordered by my friend, which was the only abundant portion, still without garniment.
The bill at the end was 250 euro (!!), particularly I discovered this place charges 1st class fish at 70 euro per kg, which is right the double of any other restaurant/konoba in the island (and you'll receive a largest portion with garniment of potatoes and salads, etc.). The wine TERAN was charged like a very old BRUNELLO or BAROLO, which is not the case, definitely.
Summarizing: if the bill has to be like in "PLAVI PODRUM" then I want to eat and be served like in "PLAVI PODRUM".
This "Osor buffet" is just OBSCENE.
If you want to eat quality at a reasonable price I advise you "Konoba Bonifacic" in Osor.

The place was quite busy so we thought this might indicate good food. Well, it doesn't.
The pizzas were covered with a big layer of cheese, hardly any toppings and when moving the plate all the cheese and toppings would move, swimming in the fat. My partner accidently dropped his fork onto his pizza and it literally sunk away in the fat. The salades did not seem fresh. Staff differs, one waitress was nice, another waiter was quite rude. Don't let the full terrass fool you!

My aunt ordered the grilled squid and it was overcooked. My father ordered the assorted fish dish for two had a huge fish full of large spines and not worth the price. My Televrin potatoes and fried calamari were good.

A small but cousy family run business. Very good atmosphere in the middle of an old village. Great Adriatic fish on grill and house wine. Excellent price / performance.

Sv. Jakov is my second home spending close to two mont per year there. Having the house there usually I am not going around in the village to have dinner. I made it twice this year due to delicious calamari and good sardela. You have to ask the owner for his special home made spirits. Travarica was really good. But my friends, do not expect a modern restaurant with spectacular views. It is in the mid of a small village. You are sitting close to the road (dont worry, a car from time to time). Life goes easily nearbye. As could see there is quite a respective option of fishes, but I didnt tasetd them. Anyhow, for all who are at the island Losinj. If you are staying close to Sv. Jakov a good option for nice and simple food. And to find the place which has nothing to do with mass turism.

Elegant restaurant inside the hotel. Very quite and nice outdoor dining Terrace. We selected it Reading the daily menu on the black board in the street. Everything was good and served with elegance. Bit more expensive than average , but good value for money.

It's like you are back in time when you see it, is nothing new and fancy but it really has a soul.
Staff is good and very polite, and the position right next to the sea is just wonderful.
When we came, it was very crowded but although we didn't had a reservation, they very soon found a place for us. We have eaten fresh fishes from grill and those were prepared just perfect.
I recommend this place to everyone.

This is not a place we would recommend for a romantic and atmospheric evening. The restaurant and service are very basic. The quality of the food was quite good and the price level on par for this region. So if you want an interesting evening, try it!

Wir haben uns aufgrund der guten Bewertung für dieses Lokal entschieden. Allerdings mussten wir feststellen, dass der Grillteller, die Cevapcici und Rasnjici nicht vom Grill, sondern Pfanne waren. Es hat dadurch eher durchnittlich geschmeckt. Der Ausblick ist schön, aber verbaut. Muss man nicht nochmal haben

Nice and cosy restaurant with excelent stuff. We had BBQ from big green egg. It was delicious and it was served in fair amount of time. Every recommendation if you love camps and camping!
