Kozachok is a network of Ukrainian restaurants scattered around Ukraine. Not my favourite one, as their quality is uneven and varies substantially (say, I hate Kozachok in Zhashkiv; terrible food).
But this one in Mukachevo turned out surprisingly good!
Mind that this particular Kozachok is nowhere in Mukachevo. It’s situated by the highway Chop-Kyiv, in about 10-15km from Mukachevo city centre, on your way to Chynadiyeve village. The latter is a must-see in the area for the amazing Shenborn Castle, so dropping in Kozachok can be a good idea on your way back. They are open 24h, so can be a good stop-over after a road trip, too.
Drive off the highway when you see the restaurant sign, and the paved road will soon bring you to their parking (free and guided). The restaurant sits off the highway, so the atmosphere is quite relaxing.
Like many other Kozachoks, this one has an interior in pseudo-ethnic style, a summer Terrace (that we opted for; lovely sitting) and a few arbors. There is also a small playground to keep kids busy while you’re having your meals.
The menu is largely represented by traditional Ukrainian cuisine, including the one specific for Transcarpathian area only. English menus available.
We have ordered quite generously, and were pleasantly surprised that everything from cold starters (black pudding and baked tongue) and soups (I had solyanka) to the main courses and desserts (varenyky and pancakes) was really good. Certainly better than in other Kozachoks we've been to.
Service also deserves special mention: it was exceptionally attentive and (such a rarity for Ukraine!) smiling.

Four of us enjoyed a Saturday night meal here. Our waiter spoke a little English and was very helpful and attentive. All of us had grilled meats, and shared a platter of grilled vegetables and potatoes. The food was very tasty, nicely presented, and very reasonably priced. I'm hoping to go back again before we leave Mukachevo! We sat in the outdoor patio Seating even though it was a cool evening, because a couple of banquet groups filled up the indoor tables.

Chain cafes on the road. A good place where you can relax in a calm and friendly atmosphere. The menu features are tasty food, fragrant coffee, classic latte, cappuccino, Iced coffee, Frappe, Irish coffee, and flavored teas. For a cup of coffee you can enjoy a range of sweet pastries, cakes, pies and ice cream. This cafe is mandatory to visit, because the best to relax on the road.

Deep disappointment with this restaurant which I’d come recommended in order to experience local cuisine. After arriving a bit before 8:00 pm, I was waiting for 10 minutes seeing how three differents waiters passed around me even I was there and they saw me while I was standing. Normally, in these cases, the waiter asks if the person wants a table and at least everything is already right. The person doesn’t mind to wait some more minutes if the waiter is very busy, but not to be like a statue with the other customer seeing. Of course, there was time to play with the tray of the drinks that finally fall...

We visited this awesome place few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised with high quality standards, well organized territory and nice food. The staff was very friendly. It really impressed me. If you're looking for colorful transcarpathian cuisine, this is a place for you! We recommend to try bograch. It's a traditional Hungarian spicy soup.

Marvelous place to have a dessert and a cup of cappuccino - I advise to try black currant pie and some cookies made of oat and chocolate

my husband and I, are lovers of good coffee and this place located in the center of Mukachevo is really a pleasant place where you can taste a good coffee.
The place is small but very well cared for in detail and stylish, you can sit on stools downstairs or go upstairs and sit comfortably on the sofas, in front of the window overlooking the main street of town. excellent coffee and briosches.

Cafe Eurasia is located just off the central square and very hard to miss. The menu is extensive and the food is not too bad but we had to wait nearly two hours for our order (two salads and two soups - nothing that would justify the wait). No explanation was provided as to why it took so long. We avoided Eurasia since, even though the location is really hard to beat.

We found this place thanks to positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I had delicious feta salad and asked them to add lettuce to it. The grilled chicken and grilled veggies were great too. The service quick, polite, flexible with my requests, and superb. You have to walk inside into the restaurant passing karaoke bar which is separated from the main restaurant. It is also clean and cozy.
