In the centre of the harbour Promenade of Lachen is the Osteria Vista, the centrepiece of the Marina Lachen. Fresh wood oven pizzas are our speciality. Fine pasta, meat and fish dishes complete the attractive menu, which is entirely devoted to the theme "Bella Italia". The warmly designed interior, the open kitchen, the sweeping view and the relaxed atmosphere enchant guest from near and far. The Osteria is the venue for every day and every event. Buon appetito!
The entire family loves the focaccia at Osteria Vista. It isn't strictly on the menu but if you ask nicely you should be able to get it. We just had the one with Parma. The team is nice, the location great (especially in summer) and...MoreDear Daniel G thank you for this great review! My husband and I had recently dinned at Bauernhof and had a really nice experience. My husband had a vegetarian curry and I had one of the seasonal specialties, both very tasty and huge portions.
The restaurant itself is quite intimate, service was discreet and, generally, the atmosphere is very pleasant. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

In this Asian restaurant with an urban theme, our Thai chefs prepare popular and authentic dishes from their homeland. Wanderlust is also a topic here and is perfectly suited to the overall Marina Lachen experience, so it is just like being away on holiday.
Maybe not cheap, but you are in Switzerland! Food is delicious and nicely prepared. Always call in advance if they are open, they usually close in October for a couple of days!
For those who like to come back, they offer a kind of bonus card, ask for it.

The location allows for a great view of the sunset over the lake of Zurich. The food (variety & quality) is great and recommended. The service is very helpful and consult you in your choice of dish. Reservations are probably recommended even during the week (especially in summer).

The Steakhouse is a true experience for lovers of fish and seafood from the open wooden charcoal grill. The atmospheric restaurant offers you many benefits: choose your favourite item direct at the Meat Boutique, watch the grill expert at work or select a suitable wine yourself in the walk-through wine gallery.
I try it in brief: appertizer: shrimps and pulpo, perfect as it should be; main: beef tenderloin, vegetables, fries: the beef was just excellent as the fries and veges. dessert: sorry folks, was on a diet ;-) the wine: austrian zweigelt, more please. thank you...MoreDear Robert D thank you for this great review! We have visited this restaurant several times (lunch, afternoon tea, dinner) and never been disappointed. Firstly the location is stunning, top of a hill with Panorama views over Lake Zurich. Service friendly and professional. Menu is very swiss. Their "wild saison" dishes are impressive. My mother had the four course "wildmenu" (98CHF), the mushroom soup was packed with flavour, the carpaccio with portwine soaked figs a delight, the main of venison melt in the mouth and the orange mousse dessert light and flavoursome. I had the "hirsch entrecote" - the meat was perfectly cooked and also melt in the mouth, the red cabbage good balance between sweet/sour, garlicky brussel sprouts were a delight in garlic-free Switzerland. The absolute highlight was the best homemade Spätzli ever - buttery crust and fluffy inside. Can not fault this place....
Booked online (whih. I hate doing), but got a confirmation via email within 10minutes!

close to the train station, food is OK and tasty, but lacks the distinct Thai flavor and freshness, rooms are clean and comfortable, and reservation is recommended

We wanted to try local food and we went to this place with my family. We were delighted by the food and service. Staff very friendly and the menu has lots of options. The taste of the food was just delicious from the appetizer to the desserts. Good restaurant.

Jakob - a place to be yourself Jakob - the hotel at the main square is a place to be at home - We gladly invite you to vivify the house together with us. Spending the night and dreaming in the bedroom, celebrating and holding meetings in the living room, cooking together in the kitchen, getting spoiled in the dining room with dishes around the montane potato and shopping in the pantry, the small shop inside the restaurant. A vivid place located in the neat historic district of Rapperswil. We are looking forward to welcoming you!
Go beyond the tourist traps at the harbour and walk two minutes to the Hauptplatz and join the young and inspiring crew at the restaurant in the Hotel Jakob! Modern decor, a small bar and a good view into the kitchen where your food is prepared. Nice selection of amuse bouches (esp the pulled beef with corn espuma), followed by fish, lamb and beef were to our full satisfaction, as was the tarte tatin for dessert, topped with a sourmilk ice cream. At CHF 130 pp, a good deal! Small, but interesting wine selection from the region, a local barrel-oaked Chardonnay was a real and positive surprise! At the end of the restaurant, you find a little store where you can buy bio food, vegetables and their famous potato varieties from the Grisons. Worth a trip, worth a detour. Many thanks to the friendly, engaged and helpful staff!

Eine kreative mediterrane Küche erwartet Sie! Sowie die grösste Auswahl der Schweiz an portugiesischen Weine.
This is an amazing restaurant in Lachen run by a Portuguese family. Lovely/cozy decor inside, very reasonable prices and friendly staff.
Food is absolutely delicious, fresh and dishes are beautifully decorated. My husband had a traditional Portuguese fish called “Bacalhau” and I had a simple (yet delightful) spaghetti with olive oil and vegetables. Dessert was an orange cake with porto wine sirup. Just fantastic!
They also have a small boutique inside where they sell Portuguese products like olive oil, variety of wines, marinated olives, etc.
There are a few parking places right in front of the restaurant and a public parking within 100m.
We also liked that they have an online reservation system through their website.
Totally recommend this place and we will definitely return.
