In the centre of the city, near the place which is rightly called Liepaja heart Rozu square, there is a jouful restaurant "Barons Bumbiers" with rich and traditional Latvian cuisinewhere you will always be waited in the shopping centre "Kurzeme". Menu is for every gourmand to know and to evaluate Latvian traditional cuisine delicacies that surprise with variety of meals made by masterly cooks.
Went there with my son for quick lunch. Soup I wanted was not available, so I ordered mushroom soup. For some reason my son got his food fast, yet soup was a long wait. It was tasty but without any salt at all. Waiter was apologetic and nice though.Would I recommend? Probably not, you can find better places in Liepaja to eat.

Nice, friendly and tasty place to visit after you are done with your medieval things nearby. After long day of driving and walking and experiencing Ventspils and surrounding areas we decided to have an early dinner before departing back to Riga. Staff was really nice, attentive, menu had good selection and was reasonably priced. I would say it was truly good value for money. Certainly I will be returning customer.

We decided for a dinner in this restaurant because a good rating was in trippadvisor. Food was OK, but no surprises if we would like something rediscover. Interior was as in a cellar can imagine, also no surprises. Maybe owner could think more about smaller, specific details, possibilities for development are there.

Visited on a business trip with 10 people and was pleasantly surprised with the fast service provided at the quaint little restaurant. The food was presented to a high standard by the more than helpful waitresses. Highly recommend if in the area!

Pros: Tasty food, cozy, mid-priced Cons: One waiter therefore slow service, they served dorada fillet instead of whole fish!

I ended up here after watching the sunset on the beach - I wasn't ready for bed and I read this place was good for a beer.
Honestly, this place gets 5 stars for service alone. They had a few local beers on tap and I asked which one she recommended and I got a sampling of all of them! I was shocked - what service! I also ordered some peanut butter pie, which was very tasty.
I enjoyed my beer that I selected from my tasting, and my dessert as well. It was fairly tame when I was there (I heard it gets busy) but overall, this is a great place to have a coffee or a beer and just relax. Great job ladies.

Good food, beautiful, peaceful place, nice staff, entertainment activities for kids - it's a good place for a family to get a meal. For a reasonable price and - dishes are huge (take this into consideration before taking dessert!)

We stopped over for a night in Kuldiga and had an excellent dinner in this restaurant.
The food was really tasty, service kind and helpful and it was just the perfect place to spend a cozy evening overlooking the brodge and waterfall. Great deal, would recomend to averyone who might stop there.

We had a wonderful dinner here after a concert at a nearby church. I'd describe the menu as continental with a Latvian accent. The wine list was fine, the salads and seafood entrees were excellent, and a great value compared to the beef (which can be fairly pricey in Eastern Europe). Try a smoked fish appetizer, and for dessert, the chocolate ball with hot black currant sauce!
