Newport is a centraly located 70-seat restaurant with outstanding menu selection. Fresh, locally harvested ingredients are fused with timeless international recipes. Enjoy fresh seafood dishes, like grilled salmon filet on a bed of roasted eggplant with sesame pomegranate sauce, and an extensive list of wine and champagne.
I have visited the Newport restaurant a few times during visits to Klaipeda. I know with the restaurant that whatever I choose it will be delicious. The tuna steaks and the rump steak are delicious and cooked exactly to order. Always a good meal!Dear Guest. Thank you for your review and for choosing our restaurant. I'm happy that you enjoyed your visit at our restaurant and looking forward to seeing you again soon !

HBH have deteriorated in the quality of food, at least those that we ordered. They used to serve excellent Lithuanian cuisine which made us regular visitors whenever we travel to Lithuania. The playground for the kids still the same. The kids enjoyed the playground area. The mini zoo was just ok but nothing out of the ordinary.
The cepelenai my husband ordered was a little bit over fried, soaking in fat and just not delicious. Didn't finish his plate, was disgusting. The crispy fried bread, which I thought was ok was criticized by our hosts in Lithuania. The gira drink was fantastic, as always. Tip: don't order wine 100ml, make it double or at least request for 150ml. I´m not sure if it was in fact 100 ml but it seemed too little. Not the usual 100ml glass of wine at most restaurants I´m used to. The other orders were just ok, typical Lithuanian food served elsewhere.
I saw one of the servers drinking a big mug of gira at the counter/bar. It has several straws so I supposed it was for everybody else. Not drinking because thirsty but drinking just like one of the customers, enjoying every sip...and so on. They are working after all and not with friends hanging out. They could at least drink in the kitchen or turn their backs. This is not a good practice among servers.
The toilet looked clean, but fake clean. The smell was disgusting. Maybe not for them but it smelled like dried urine, one that you´ll find in a badly maintained gasoline station. Their cleaners should take some training in proper cleaning of public toilets. This has always been my complain ever since.
Beautiful restaurant concept design. Great to sit outside or inside. Big place to explore, great for kids, just lacking in some key points. Just wondering if they have a restaurant manager to oversee the things I´ve pointed out.

Friedrich's arcade is one of the most vivid symbols of Klaipeda. Long and colorful history of the old town and progressive modernism meets here. This unique space represents the lively tradition of the biggest European capitals to transform whole streets into arcades that unite cozy cafes, restaurants, stylish boutiques and guest houses in one place. The arcade opened in 2006 and was named to commemorate a historic personality - King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia who resided in Klaipeda during the Napoleon war. Today Friedrich's arcade is rightfully titled by Klaipeda citizens and city's guests as probably the coziest attraction centre with the most unique aura on the Lithuanian coast. Everybody who comes for a cup of coffee, business lunch or dinner with a company of friends is welcomed here. Once you visit Friedrich's arcade you will feel what it means to stop the moment. And you will want to come back once again with your most honorable guests.
I have visited here also before. In the beef reataurant the food is quite tasty, but on my last visit I encountered something which should not happen in any reastaurant wanting to keep it's reputation high.
I ordered the meal and 200 ml of red wine supporting that. I got 100 ml, but I let it go and decided to order more later if needed. I managed with that 100 ml. When I got the check there was a charge of 200 ml, so I complained about that. The (also otherwise arrogant) waiter did not even notice this remark. As a peaceful person I did not push any more because it did not mean a bankruptcy for me.
Consequently TripAdvisor will know about this kind of experience and I surely won't visit there any more. There are lots of very good reastaurants elsewhere in Klaipeda with friendly service and excellent food. My 1 point comes as the average of food/service/cheating.

Herkus Kantas Pub is Klaipeda's best kept secret – a small and cosy cellar bar where exceptional international and Lithuanian hand crafted beers are always available. You will find a friendly, local crowd inside from the city’s university, extreme sport clubs and the seaport. It also boasts an eclectic kitchen with Mexican burritos, American chicken wings, hummus, burgers, BBQ ribs and exceptional seafood dishes all on offer, as well as a traditional Lithuanian hemp seed and potato snack.
My favorite pub in Klaipėda. Short but nice list of snacks + short but always interesting selection of beers. Usually Herkus Kantas are the ones who get the rare and interesting local craft beers the first (not only in Klaipėda, but also Lithuania).
Go there and ask what is new on a tap. You’ll be not disappointed.

The restaurant serves traditional Lithuanian and Eastern European cuisines. In the Stora Antis dined ELO,Eath,Wind&Fire,Mireille Mathieu,Toto Cutugno,Smokie,Tower of Power,Eric Marienthal(Chick Corea Elektric Band),Incognito,Mezzoforte,Candy Dulfer and almost all the stars of Lithuanian music, theater and cinema.
My wife, a friend and I had a dinner at Stora Antis last week. Of the many restaurants we visited on our Baltic Sea cruise, this was the best. The food is authentically Lithuanian, and every single meal was delicious. The soups--we sampled four--were absolutely delicious. If it's the warm season, I would recommend the cold borscht. I don't care much for beets, but I loved this soup (it has more of a cucumber flavor than a beet flavor). If you're hungry, try a "Zeppelin." It's a meatball wrapped in a potato dumpling dough. (Not for light eaters). As a main course, I had a pork steak with boletus (mushroom) sauce. Highly recommended.
In addition to the great food, the setting is beautiful. The owner, whose name i didn't get, was charming, and the service was excellent. To top it all off, I later emailed the restaurant asking for the ingredients of the boletus sauce. They emailed me the entire recipe.
This was the best meal of our trip. I highly recommend it. Just make sure you come hungry!

A small grill bar in the city center. Kitchen run by the owner, a professional chef.
Spent a long weekend in Klaipeda, visited Momo Grill twice. Each time was a new discovery, new flavor, new good time. The food is exceptional. The options, the flavors, the styles, the wines, including beautiful flatware, and presentation make it the perfect restaurant away from home. Can't say enough. Must be experienced by those who love food. Exceptional service. The environment is small, cozy and comfy. Best to make a reservation. Enjoy!

We visit this bar since it was opened. Decent prices, big portions and yummy cheese fingers you will want to repeat! These are the ones people come here for;) Now they serve chicken fingers as well but nothing compares to the original ones. Lot of space outside if the weather is mild and a few inside the pub. Good value for money though you will not find here anything fancy. I would recommend this place for meeting friends with beer and for those really hungry on budget.

we use to stop here before the show next door. Always nice easy atmosphere, friendly staff and good snacks with drinks. Especially I loved fried camembert cheese with beetroots and berries! Good cocktails too. Once tried their menu of the day-it was also pretty nice. I would recommend to stop here if you are around. During the lunch time and in the evenings I would suggest to book a table in advance.
