Sometimes it seems that all lithuanians are little artists. as in other places there are a lot of small sculptures in Klaipeda. Funny to search for the mouse - she is very small. an looks great!

The Meridanas Boat/Restaurant appears on just about everything connected with Klaipeda. It is perhaps one of the most symbolic icons for tourists.
It is presently moored in Klaipeda’s Canal opposite a beautiful park adjacent to the Old Town.
Great place to visit during the day as a tourist attraction perhaps with your children, over a cool beer or during the evening, enjoying cocktails and an evening meal.
To all Trip Advisors visiting Klaipeda, you have at least got to view this splendid vessel from the Lifting Bridge.

The old town part of Klaipeda is very charming with its stone roads and beautiful buildings, but it's quite small compared to other towns in the country. You could spend an hour walking around and see most of it. Take a look, enjoy some restaurants then go to the old ferry terminal and take the quick boat to the Curonian Spit. Both things can easily be done in a day..

Honestly, I loved it. Great fun to walk around and find lots of interesting things. I would say kids before 8-10 would be scared but overall it's great entertainment, only downfall it's overpriced for what it is.

It's a bit outside the city centre and very busy as all local people go here as an outing during the weekend. You find shopping, restaurants and leisure activities under one roof. There are no big brands for sale here which is a shame but most probably no market for it. The problem is that everybody is here and not in the centre anymore.

You can walk to the square from the Cruise port, which we did, then get on a small tour bus to get a overview and narration. Statue has 2 good stories about it.

Exposition is very interesting. Mechanics and working principles of clock/watch explained. Evolution and working examples (watches and clocks) from different ages. Saddly, text (explanations) is only in lithuanian and russian and I'm not sure if they have english spoken guide.
