The restaurant is located on the top of the Somlyó hill, the impressive Panorama charms everyone! Besides the view, you can enjoy the local cuisine. Our chef, Ádám Sarlós is one of the most authentic chefs in Hungarian cuisine. On the menu there are typical Hungarian tastes, such as chicken paprika, crispy roasted goose leg, pike-perch from the Lake Balaton or marinaded neck of Mangalica pork.Besides all, the restaurant is a historical place: this is where the fröccs (wine-soda water spritzer) was born on 5th October, 1842. You can order several types of spritzer by us!On the other hand the famous Somlói galuska which is one of the most famous creations of Hungarian confectionery was named after the Somlyó hill where the restaurant is located. Here you can also taste the original Somlyói galuska which is a special sponge cake, served with chocolate sauce and decorated with whipped cream. The restaurant is only 20 minutes drive from Budapest, the capital of Hungary and only 10 minutes drive from Formula 1, Hungaroring!Opening hours:Tuesday - Sunday: 12.00 pm – 11.00 pm (Monday off)If you would like to travel back in time, do not hesitate to book a table! We are looking forward to seeing you at Fay Press House!
Wonderful setting for a late lunch on a slow Sunday afternoon. The place was full at 3pm, with mostly large groups and families. It is superbly family friendly.
Perhaps we had bad luck with our order, but our food was not outstanding. The soup was too salty. The main course was a 2-person fish dish. It was mostly done by deep frying, like many of the other dishes we saw as they were served to the other tables. Deep frying is not my favorite method of cooking. On the other hand, the green salad was excellent, fresh and crisp.
I mentioned that this was a late lunch on a slow afternoon. Although we were in no hurry and we were prepared to stay there for a while, the service was so slow, that it was getting annoying. Between placing our order to getting the main course we waited 1 hour.

This review is for the "etterem" upstairs which is supposed to be upscale restaurant: The offer fix price menus with or without corresponding wines. We opted for the 9990 HUF 5 course menu incl wine, coffee and praline. However the lamb chops needed to replaced...MoreThank you for your feedback! We regret that it was not fully satisfied! We sat outside in the shade and with some breeze, which made the hot summer mid-day somewhat bearable. The service was very friendly, we decided for an "abundance plate" for two. Beware-the name says it all :), there was really an abundance of food. Everything was delicious, but French fries. I think they were cut into too thin slices and then hardened too much. The final bill was reasonable. Would gladly come again.

Restaurant and event venue in a lovely and romantic building of an old mill out of Budapest. Seasonal menu with gastro specialities of the Carpathian basin.
Situated in a small town Veresegyház, ~miles from Budapest, we found this place in a retrofitted and converted mill building, also keeping some of the main structures, shape and walls, also wit traditional decor tools inside, it is a nice place to see.
Food offering is excellent, as well as selection of wine is great.
There are also outside seatings done in a funny way with re-converted container frames in the garden, nice flowers, mostly wheat and lavender.
Excellent place, check it out!!!!

This was my 3rd or 4th time here and nothing changed... Good food, traditional hungarian, casual taste, nothing extra but good. But the service... the waiters... they are unable to say hello or welcome, they are working always without smile, they cannot help in anything....this was the last that we try this restaurant...

Located in what was once the library of the grand Károlyi palace. The decoration of the restaurant doesn't reflect the building's history or age, but the food and drink is excellent. We enjoyed our grilled pike perch with, one of the culinary delights of Hungary, pickled vegetables - on this occasion cucumber and cabbage. The Eggplant cream (padlizsán krém) was also excellent and the home made lemonade was just right for a hot summer's day. Friendly service.

Erzsebet Kiralyno (or Queen Eliszbeth) restaurant is the main restaurant of the hotel of the same name. It is located on the main street of Godollo, leading to the Royal Palace. Elegantly furnished, with white tablecloths and very good service, it offers mostly International but also Hungarian specialties. The food is well-prepared and presented. The wine list focuses on Hungarian wines and a full bar is also available. Weather permitting, there are outdoor tables in an inner garden.

Went with our private tour guide to have so d great regional foods. We were very please with the extensive menu. The wait staff was efficient and friendly. Beautiful interior and exterior decor.
My with had their creamy asparagus soup which came with a small bowl of crispy pieces of duck. I had their consume with quail eggs. All was very good. We were wanting a traditional sausage Sandwich to split but what we got was a fried breaded roll-up of pork, ham, and cheese. It too was very good.
A good experience and I recommend you give them a try.

Wide selection of ice creams, now sundaes, ice cream cakes and paleo cakes as well. Not cheap, but the staff always give you a big scoop - instead of scraping the edges off they try to scoop up more in their ice cream spoons. And...MoreDear Syrinx, We really appreciate your comment about us. We are glad to announce that we have now sugar free ice creams as well. We are looking forward to welcoming you and your family again!

I was in Godollo with my family, we were done with the tour of the castle a bit late in the afternoon, Google Maps pointed me to Coral Cafe as the nearest open restaurant, and it was a happy find!
Big and tasty sandwiches and a cold local beer, I couldn't ask for more :)
Don't miss it if you are in Godollo!
