Our 4-star-hotel "Hasen" is part of Herrenberg's history. It was mentioned in a document as early as 1620 and even then was famous beyond the boundaries of town. In 1984 the hotel was fully renovated and a spacious new building was added. It now boasts 66 rooms with 107 beds and the restaurant can seat 85 guests. In 2015 most of the guest rooms are fully renovated. Our restaurant with its monthly changing menu focuses on fish and vegetarian dishes, which we serve on 364 days of the year. (Our restaurant is closed on Christmas Eve.) Our kitchen offers you warm meals from 12:00 am till 10:30 pm. Between 2 pm and 6 pm and between 9:00 pm and 10:30 pm we serve a variety of hot and cold meals from a reduced menu. You are welcome to browse our website and find out about us. We are looking forward to your visit!
Entering the Gasthof Hasen you step back in the 19th century. The interieur seems to have been unchanged, though in a positive sense. The urgency of our time can be left behind the outer door. Service is friendly and attentive. The meals hold high quality and taste. Recommend wramly their soups

Very nice restaurant in Affstätt (part of Herrenberg). They have mainly local specialities, plus an awesome salad with speck (bacon) and nuts(!). The local dishes are very tasty as well. The stuff is friendly and helpful, and the owner even gave a little surprise to our canadian colleague.

Food here was very good. We had some difficulty as we don't speak German and the waitress was unable to translate the menu for us. However, the food was very good and we enjoyed it.
Wine is served by the glass (not by bottle or flask) which makes it a little expensive, but this seems to be the custom in some restaurants in the town.
We ate here on a Thursday and the place was very busy, so recommend booking.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant in a basement setting. Although effectively underground, thanks to the stone walls and pleasing decor, it is still a very attractive place to eat.
The staff are generally friendly and efficient.
The restaurant is often busy. Therefore, at times, it can feel a little cramped and the stone walls don't help to keep the noise levels down. This latter point spoils the overall atmosphere rating.
In summer one can sit outside in a reasonably pleasant area.
The food is fresh & tasty and the prices represent good value for money.

Be first aware that credit cards are not accepted! Cash only.
We stayed at Ramada hotel and had a 10mn walk across the park to reach the restaurant. Nice Terrace outside which was quite full already when we arrived at 7pm without booking. Luckily we got a table for four. Tasty Italian food, quickly served with friendliness. Reasonable price (count 15eur per person without wine. We selected a bottle of Barolo from Piedmont : she unfortunately damaged the cork when opening the bottle but did not hesitate a second to bring another bottle to prevent giving us wine with cork pieces.

We went to Herrenberg for a concert at the Stiftskirche. before then, we wanted to eat dinner, but kept running into restaurants that were closed or had downgraded themselves to nearly fast food.
Osteria came recommended by a colleague, and is well worth a visit. Just off the Marktplatz, it has a few tables outside, where we sat. The chairs were roomy and comfortable. We were there about 17.45 on a Wednesday and had our choice of tables.
Hubby drank a beer and I had a lovely glass of dry wine from Umbria.
Bruschetta were very nice, with the bread being fresh, perfectly toasted and plenty of garlic with the tomatoes. Hubby's salad was fine, but nothing to write home about.
Hubby ate fettucine with beef and cognac sauce, felt the sauce needed a stronger cognac flavor.
I ate saltimbocca, and it hit the spot. Two nice pieces of veal, topped with a good ham, and an excellent sage-lemon sauce. I ordered pasta as the side, and got the same fettucine DH had, which BTW was freshly made. Very tender.
Good prompt service after a slightly long initial wait. Got the bill promptly and paid, then we trekked up the hill to the concert. I'll go again.

We had a nice meal here in December 2013. We were part of a large group (not sure how it would be for a table for two). The restaurant is bright and open with a good menu selection and the food on the evening we ate there was excellent. Service was fine for us - we were a large group and we had plenty to talk about - we told the waitress we were not in a hurry and so we were not rushed.

Went for a quick at work and got recommended this place. They do have a daily lunch menue for only 6,5 € which is rather a rarity outide of Nordics. Service was quick and the food good, nice clean spacious place. Snmall minus that it took time until we could settle the bill.

We have visited this restaurant several times, as a couple, as a family, and with friends.
The service is always friendly, attentive, and prompt. The prices are reasonable and portions are generous.
The food is ok--not the best Greek we've had, but not the worst either.
Overall, it's a nice place to come relax but don't expect the best Greek food you've ever had.

Standard German menu a little bit for everyone on the menu. Good service and good value for money.
