Though we have only dined at the Chateau du Mylord once before, we were greeted like regular visitors and felt welcome, which definitely also is thanks to sommelier Bart Lamont. The whole evening is like an adventerous luxurious culinaric trip with small surprises along the road. The micro-menus are my favourite. They are like a total surprise and the taste sensation is just fantastic. We went for the "Back from Holidays" menu...loved it. And the wine..... I can only recommend to choose the wine menu and let Bart handle the wine selection. If you appreciate delicate food, superior wine and being totally spoiled, you should pay Chateau du Mylord a visit ;-).

Traditionally I visit this restaurant for lunch on the Dutch Koningsdag. It is the living proof that location is not important when the service and quality offered is outstanding. A small farmhouse in the middle of the fields, nothing fancy, simple mostly white interior. Nothing takes the attention away from what comes on the plate and that remains outstanding. The "large" menu is not cheap (325) but is just great. Beautifully presented, mostly seafood with Anjou pigeon as the meat course. What is striking is that over time the cooking by Goosens has become much simpler with even better ingredients that sing without having to add complexity. This is a major accomplishment. Service impeccable. Outstanding winelist fairly priced. Still lunch for 3 without exaggerating on the wine 1,600 euro. Not for everyday. Until next year .

Excellent fish restaurant. This is our 3rd visit and the welcome was absolutely perfect. A comfortable, yet sophisticated setting, off the beaten track, yet easily accessible on foot or by car.
We would totally recommend it for the choice and freshness of the ingredients, the beautiful combinations and presentation, as well as the excellent wine list and desserts.

A very pleasant experience: the upper dining room is bright, well decorated and welcoming (an outside sitting area, the "cour", is also available if the weather allows), the service attentive and professional, the food remarkably good, the menu appealling, the wine list extensive but nevertheless offering lower priced wines. We spent approx. 50 Euros per person which, for a first class meal, is quite reasonable.

Family lunch here today. Savoury madeleine amuse-bouche. Excellent starters of tuna done three different ways. Beautifully cooked rouget with pissaladière. Cherry dessert with bavarois. Well-chosen wines to accompany each course... Good service in a classy setting.... Wonderful.

An absolute gem, this one. Simply the best of everything. Just wonderful food beautifully presented in an ideal setting, and served by charming and professional staff. We arrived at the last minute, with only just over an hour to spare and they accommodated us (with difficulty) and made our day. A memorable meal indeed at a fraction of the usual expense.

A cosy restaurant specialising in cassoulet. I had a cassoulet which contained three different sorts of pork, lamb, quail and chorizo. Really tasty and extremely filling. My wife had duck with vegetables which again was a substantial portion and beautifully cooked. At €16.50 and €19.50 respectively both were very reasonably priced.Service was efficient.

The restaurant looks a bit out dated but the food and service is really great and full of quality! If you are in Lille, go!

Given the high quality of the food, the service and the ambience, we were surprised at how easy it was to book a table last Thursday and how quiet the restaurant was. It may be because it is not in the main tourist square, but tucked away in a side street with little obvious signage. But only two minutes walk from the Market Square, and well worth finding!
We enjoyed an amuse bouche, baked prawns, and one of us had deer calf fillet, and the other an excellent rack of lamb. Both main courses exceeded expectations, and melted in the mouth. The desserts were also very good.
The young lady who welcomed and served was friendly, polite and efficient. Compliments to her and the chef.
We will definitely return when next in Ieper.
