Visbys nicest livingroom, where you will be pampered both in the restaurant and at the bar. G:a Masters offer a pleasant combination of creative food preparation and a relaxed bar atmosphere. In the summertime, there are tables outside, right at the heart of Visbys social scene.
Excellent restaurant with a friendly and intimate ambience.
Started with a variety of Swedish dark/hard breads which set us up nicely for our excellent fish starter. The meatballs are always a 'hit' in most Swedish restaurants, and these, according to my companion, were no exception. I had a great steak, cooked to perfection, tender as the Visby dusk and succulent as a desert cactus.
Ok, I was somewhat ravenous, but it was good!
Thoroughly recommend.

It is with very good reason that this place comes up on top of restaurants in Visby. If you like seafood you simply must visit. We had the fried herring and the fish soup. The fried herring is absolutely delicious, the best I have ever...MoreGreat!! We are so glad to hear about your visit! Welcome back next time on the island

French Style Bistro with local Products. Menu Changes several times per year in order to pick upp seasonal vegetables etc.
We had high expectations of Bolaget after Reading the good reviews on TA and we were very happy that we booked a table here. We chose to sit indoors because of rain in the weather forecast, but their outdoor Seating at the main square also looked nice. The staff was professional, and when discussing our selection of wine we got good recommendations that matched the food very well (a glass of white with the starter and a glass of red with the main course). We got a basket of bread that contained a few different types of “knäckebröd” (hard bread). For starter we chose the chèvre chaud with honey, salad and dried olives, which was very tasty. Our main course was lamb with beets, turnips, haricots verts, red wine sauce and cream cheese with herbs, which also was very tasty with a great combination of flavours and the meat was perfectly cooked to the right level of pink in the middle. This was one of the best dinners we had during our one week holiday in Visby. Highly recommended!

Crêperie & Logi serve really delicious galettes with a Swedish twist. My favorite are the ones with salmon, shrimps etc. Don't miss out on the desert crepes with ice cream and other goodies. I have had galettes in France and on Fårö, but Crêperie & Logi's galettes are much better, the best! And the service is also really nice.

Värdshuset Lindgården is located in old Visby and seeks to serve dishes prepared with the finest ingredients from the island of Gotland. It’s also proud to be one of Sweden’s most beautiful garden restaurants. Choose between dishes such as: sole Meunière stuffed with shellfish; fillet of venison in Serrano ham; Lindgården’s duck liver terrine on a bed of mâchée lettuce; and finish off the meal with, for example, Lindgården’s mulberry parfait with almond crackers.
The food was nice but nothing special that I will remember. The local was cosy and had a nice interior but one of the waitress didn't give the impression of liking/enjoying her job. She looked bored and nit very friendly and her attitude towards us as guest wasn't very welcoming. When we asked questions about the food and dishes she didn't answer them. It felt that she knew the answer though she didn't want to bother wasting time on informing us. For example, we asked about the size of the starters but she just answered "it's starters". When we asked if she could maybe estimate/show us how big they were she just said "normal". What is normal? Maybe it was difficult to estimate/show us how big the soup bowl was but she didn't give the impression either that she wanted to try and answer our questions.
I would not go here again as the only thing that left a memory from this experience and what I will remember from this place, is the "unhappy" and not service minded waitress.

Welcome to Black Sheep Arms From Swaledale in North Yorkshire arrives the Black Sheep Arms, a hostelry serving Great food, fine ales, beers & malts along with our famed friendliness to all regulars and Amiable strangers. We are open every day from 5 pm!
A cozy little pub that offers food and drinks comparable with some of the best pubs in the UK. The portions are good. The beer selections too. The staff, apart from one arrogant individual, is very friendly and welcoming. It is frequented by locals and English speaking expatriates (mainly "love refugees" who should be called "immigrants" like everyone else). Being in there is like being in England, with the authentic shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, fish n chips and locally made beers.

A lovely small restaurant situated in the city of Visby. The restaurant do not have possibility for pre-booking which makes it great for a couple like us, who do not want to plan to much. We had to wait about 20min for a table, and had a lovely and tasty drink while waiting. The food is tapas-style with colorful and tasty bites, served with a wide range of local beers. A restaurant you must visit! It were long time ago we had a so great dinner.

At Lilla Bjers Gårdskrog you can enjoy all the flavors and fragrances picked direct from the soil. You are served what is best for the day, cooked with care. Lunch and dinner. All vegetables is taken from Lilla Bjers ecological farm, meat and dairy from other organic farms. Beverages is also organic, carefully chosen, from natural wines to our own fruit juices. Lilla Bjers is the winner of "Sustainable Gastronomy of the Year" 2014,2015 and 2016, in White Guide.
The set dinner menu offers a choice of three or five courses. We picked the first option, but found out that no less than four amuse-bouche were included. Each dish is very carefully crafted from seasonal, locally produced, ecological ingredients--all extraordinarily tasty. The presentation is also artistic, such as the fresh bread displayed on a bed of grain on a wooden plate.
The staff were all knowledgeable and cheerful, and presented each dish with care and enthusiasm. It appears to be a place were people are proud to work. The sommelier provided excellent suggestions based on our preferences, without any of the arrogance that people with that background sometimes display.
We started the meal outside in the lovely garden, as the summer evening was still pleasantly warm. Then we moved into the greenhouse dining room, which was pleasantly climatized. You eat there surrounded by large plants: olive and fig trees, vines, and even a banana plant.
All in all, an outstanding culinary experience. Not cheap of course, but memorable.
