Set in a beautiful Grade II listed building and with bright designed interiors, hunkydory is a great location for a romantic or group meal. Lots a little alcoves and booths allow you to feel you have your own private space. There is also a private function area for exclusive use to seat up to 20 around one table, with it's own private lounge and facilities. Great for family occasions or business meals.
we both enjoyed our early evening meal, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the local caught fish was good ,and the sweets were very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this wonderful restaurant, we will visit again when in Falmouth on holiday

Nestled on the shoreline of Maenporth Beach, The Cove offers uninterrupted views across Falmouth Bay. A sanctuary from the bustle of reality, where you can enjoy lunch al fresco on the elevated Terrace or wind down the day with the full dining experience. The Cove is an oasis of taste and visual beauty, easily one of the most picturesque spots to enjoy the real flavour of Cornish ingredients.
This unfortunately doesn't come up on TA when you search restaurants in Falmouth. Were it not for our landlady we might have missed out on this fabulous restaurant.
Dress up a bit for this place, it's worth it.
All three courses were exquisely presented but not in a style over substance way.
Staff all very friendly and v well trained.
Would def return if ever in the area again.

What more can you say about Cornwall’s number one restaurant other than it was superlative as usual. We went for Kenny’s celebratory tasting menu evening and it didn’t disappoint. Some amazing dishes and wine combinations all lovingly prepared and explained by Kenny. Excellent front of house service from Wendy made for yet another memorable dinner and evening. Those people that book and don’t show up are really missing out!

We found ourselves passing this restaurant on our way back to Falmouth from a wonderful morning exploring The Lizard. It is quite exceptional, very fairly priced and the presentation is 5*. We had jacket potatoes with bacon and brie, which were loaded with local thick-cut bacon, with an amazing side salad, and to follow a fabulous creme brûlée to share. With a drink each, the bill was less than £25. More than fair. We saw the most amazing croque monsieur on the next table, and various other wonderful dishes served. Lovely, friendly staff and very pleasant surroundings. Can’t wait to go back.

We are a family-run restaurant creating South African inspired dishes made from Cornish produce.
Reserve or get there early, there is not that much space! Friendly welcome, rapid service and good food (I have to admit that I took local fish), with a South African beer. An interesting alternative if you want a change from the ubiquitous fish and chips, with a different atmosphere (and music). Mid-range prices.

Came here as a walk in on a Monday night for dinner with my Wife. Did not book but as it was not too busy we were able to be seated without any problem. Garlic bread starter to share and sausage and mash for me and trio of fish for my Wife washed down with a bottle of wine for £46. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff so would visit again.

Welcome to The Shack - a rustic shellfish bar in bustling Events Square, Falmouth, where the food is always fresh! Relaxed dining in an unrivalled atmosphere - with the focus on sparklingly fresh, local seafood. The idea is simple: sociable food and a fun, hands-on approach to shellfish. We've got something for everyone, from shellfish of every variety to fish of the day, steak, vegetarian options and a children's menu. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
I really rate the Shack, and the lunch time winter deal is great value. Love their chowder and the mussels spot on this time. We enjoyed the house wine which was quite drinkable. Service on this occasion a little below par; our male server seemed to have his mind on other things. And one does need to be prepared for no heating at lunch time so if it's a cold day you will feel it. I am used to it and just keep my coat and hat on but my partner is more sensitive and complains.

28 day mature Cornish steak chargrilled on one of the largest flame grill units in the South West. Flame grilled burgers, slow braised ribs & smokey buffalo chicken wings. Vegetarian and fish option. Children's menu too. All in an intimate and friendly dining room.
Visited at Sunday Lunchtime, we hadn't booked a table but were lucky as there was 1 unoccupied. The waiter explained that they were only serving Sunday Roast but it smelt delicious so we decided to stay. We weren't disappointed, the meals were lovely, tasty meat and vegetables with large Yorkshire puddings and gravy! The young waiter was very polite and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend .

Having had a great day out in Falmouth we needed to find something to eat, as did the other 10,000 people in town. Having walked past many places either queuing out of the door, or didn't serve food, we decided to head back to the car, parked on quarry road .
Directly opposite the entrance is the Gem fish bar. It has a takeaway counter, but also a Seating area for about 60 people,
The place was spotless, the staff extremely friendly and welcoming.
Food was brilliant and fantastic value. You could even have a beer, cider or glass of prosecco !
What a find , truly a Gem .
It was our last resort, now it would be my first choice.
Only issue is its a little out of time up the hill, on the flip side , right opposite the car park .
