The restaurant has a large menu (apparently it is common in Albanian touristic places) and very Italian. The chef is Italian and so is the food style. The ambient is good and the staff is very nice, as in the hotel next door. What I would recommend is to change the menu to make it simpler and shorter (we get lost with so many options). It also should include some traditional albanian dishes. You can change some dishes from time to time and recomend some food according to the season, but facing such a long list and decide is not an easy task.

Great Seafood that has a good view of the city. A plus was the parking behind the restaurant. We had great service and they were very kid friendly!

This restaurant is located on the seafront in Durress and the outdoor Seating was nice in the spring Sunshine.
We ordered pizza and pasta as we were keen to try Italian food in the city. Both were OK, but the pasta was a little more interesting than than the pizza.
The problem though was the service. We felt like it was an ordeal getting any attention from the waiters as everytime we needed anything they were no where to be found.

Excellent service, superb food, very fresh and cooked with great care. I suggest to make prior reservation esp. if coming during weekend as it is considered by most the best restaurant in Durres and you might find no place otherwise. Live music with great performers and instrumentists. 5 out of 5. Well deserved.

We just had dinner in this restaurant because of the stunning reviews. Coming from South Albania I found the grilled squibs quite unsavored. However, my husband liked his lamb chops.
Pudding was non hand made and salad absolutely plain.
Prices not so cheap as in other Albanian places.

We wanted somewhere special for our last night in Albania and this was certainly a very good choice.
We arrived an hour before sunset, with drinks from their bar we saw the most amazing sunset with views across the bay toward Durres.
Our table was on the Terrace, these tables are laid out around an area where children and adults could ride a pony or a horse.
Again the views from our table across the countryside and sea were stunning.
Our food was all perfectly cooked and the service was very attentive, plus we thought it was very good value.

Prepare for a surprise here. This is no cheap-o seaside place that sacrifices good food and substitutes a seaside location--oh, no. We began with tasty bruschettas. Our main dish involved an amazing milky rice pilaf with delicious mussel bits scattered throughout and whole mussel shells for decoration. Our thin, bony white fish swam in its own secret creamed herb sauce. Large-diced saute potatoes completed the plate. Our Greek salad boasted even tastier olive oil than elsewhere. A fresh fruit plate for afters completed our lovely repast. Our white wine tasted of lemon blossoms. Highly recommended.

I have visited Picante few times in the past years. The last time i went, surprisingly the food wasn't as tasty as before. Maybe the chef has been changed but the linguine with dates we had was not suitable to this restaurant. Very salty and sticky. The fish appetizers were way better before.

One of the best fish restaurants I have visited with a perfect price/performance ratio. We had great raw, grilled and marinated sea food and a fresh brass that we choosed ourselves. The service was ok, only the drinks could have been refiled more often.
