The largest wine shop in the Stajerska region offers a wide selection of high quality wines from more than 30 local winemakers. The extensive offering comprises approximately 130 wines, produced from grape varieties typical of the wine-growing region of Jeruzalemske Gorice. Wines are available for tasting. In addition, the wine shop also houses a souvenir shop which offers authentic souvenirs.
Pros: good wine, and you get half a glass of everything you want to taste.
Cons: All wines are from the same house. And the amount of wine provided for tasting is so much that driving is not advisable after the tasting (some people might consider this as a pro).

In the Middle Ages the territory of the present day Jeruzalem was given to a German chivalric order. Frederick of Ptuj granted them the territory as a feudal estate. They left their mark in the church with their cross on the ceiling above the main altar. The church was named after the painting of the Mother of Sorrows (the original is claimed to have been brought here by the crusaders or pilgrims from Jerusalem, Palestine, in the 13th century). The church was constructed in the 17th century.Jerusalem still attracts pilgrims from all over the world searching for their place of peace there
It was a very beautiful, peaceful church worth a stop and look. It is very close to the Hotel Jeruzalem. The countryside around the church is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of grapes.

Visit our family wine making by appointment. A family winery and ancestral estate with a vivid and almost tangible spirit of tradition and history, situated at the very top of St. Urban wine village featuring a magnificent view dozens of miles around, in the shade of two ancient sycamore trees, immense serene landmarks to any wayfarer exploring the landscape. Given that tradition is dominating the wine cellar, the vineyards display a completely modern approach revealing the family as true masters of their trade: high-density planting, short pruning, low yields, grassy surfaces and steep slopes for necessary insolation provide the best possible grape quality which, of course is clearly reflected in the wine. The tasting room, where you spend most of the time anyway is a magnificent attraction of its own. A miraculous wooden lodge, masterfully handcrafted from parts of the old presses, used barrel staves and other pieces of traditional cellar inventory, it is a genuine family museum. The rigorous attention to every detail and the exceptional effort are plainly visible in the quality of the wines, sincere interpretation of the Lovrec character. These are rich and powerful wines in a fairly different style from other regional producers, always with subdued, moderate acidity and lightly elevated level of alcohol, very stable and definitely capable of aging. They appear in two key categories: sweet Predicates or Regular semi-dry and dry wines. The outstanding predicates can be compared in style and quality with the best Pinot Gris or Gewurztraminer from Alsace, the dry and semi-dry wines however are a fantastic expression of the personality of both Lovrec father and son. They simply do not care about trends and insistently keep pushing their sincere conviction and belief by promoting very rich, soft, delicious, lush, sometimes sweet and potent wines crafted in utter harmony between man and nature. This is sustainable winemaking and viticulture the Lovrec Family way. ( written by Croatian journalist Saša Špiranec)
We made a day trip to go to this winery and didn't call first and they were shut. Looked beautiful from the outside. The area itself is just gorgeous, worth the day trip. We called the number on the gate and they were at work. They need prior warning, it does say this on the website. We thought we would just take the drive and hope, such a shame after we saw the outside and wished we had of called first.

We went in March so outdoor pools were not opened, but they look fine. The indoor pools are relatively small so it gets crowded over weekends but they are really nice and relatively cheap. A great place to go with kids.

The KOGL winery (established in 1542) lies at a subtle rise above the village of Velika Nedelja. There, sight reveals a majestic landscape surrounding a residence built in 1820 keeps company to truly resilient 200 year old linden tree. The estate's creative character spanning across various art forms and happenings and a sense of aesthetic, combined with the indisputably distinct wines offered, makes for completeness. More than a worthy experience for both one's body and soul.
