Ljutomer (pronounced [ˈljuːtɔmɛɾ] ( listen); German: Luttenberg in der Steiermark) is a town in northeastern Slovenia, some 40 km east of Maribor. It is the seat of the Municipality of Ljutomer. Traditionally it was part of the region of Styria. It is now included in the Mura Statistical Region. The economy of Ljutomer is largely based on grape farming and wine making.

Have been to this elegant restaurant many times before, but still like to visit this nice restaurant, where you allways feel like Cooming back home. Very friendly and professional staff, excellent choice of traditional food, but still modern presentation and very, very tasty. My favorite meal is bograc. I can't wait to come back. And of course at the end of a good meal gin tonic of Tanja is simply must.

Jeruzalem is a small piece of paradise in an unspoilt corner of the world, and this restaurant (and guest-house) sits there, on a ridge, with the most amazing views over vineyards and green rolling hills, with charming houses and little churches. If you're there in late spring or summer or early autumn, sit outside and enjoy it all. The restaurant is not for fine dining but it serves some great local dishes, and you can also try some of the local wines ... ask for a small tasting tray if you like.

Intimate homeliness that suits even the most demanding guests. Decide to explore the hills of Jeruzalem and visit the Kupljen Tavern. Once you’ve experienced its unique atmosphere – and tasted its fabulous local delicacies and the Kupljen wines – your visit will turn into an adventure you will want to repeat. Unless, of course, you extend your stay longer the first time around, persuaded by our welcoming rooms and suites.
We went to the Gostišče Taverna on the recommendation of someone at the Jeruzalem winery nearby, and we were very happy we listened to him.
The Taverna is kind of out in the middle of nowhere, but it's surrounded by beautiful countryside and vineyards, and the food and service are excellent. The daily special when we were there was a wild mushroom soup, which we both ordered -- out of this world. We saw lots of bowls of that soup being delivered to tables while we were there.
We were fortunate in that we arrived just about noon; by 1:00 the place was mobbed, and there were no seats left out on the Terrace. The view is so beautiful that I can't imagine sitting inside unless the weather is bad.
We followed the soup with a mixed grill (mešano meso), which we wisely decided to split. Good idea -- one order was definitely enough for two people. Only order two if your party includes teenage boys.
We had a nice bottle of Grüner Veltliner with lunch. Neither of us had room for dessert, though we saw some tempting concoctions.
This is a definite "recommend."

A truly gem. Let's talk about the four “P”s:
PLACE: In Jeruzalem wine area, location between Ljutomer and Ormoz in Kog. Is tricky to arrive there, but in the area there are signs that point directions to this farm; kind in middle of nowhere completely surrounded by vineyards!
PRODUCT: Is a farm tourist or agritourism, well to be exact a wine-producer with rooms for tourists and wine tasting area. They serve meals too but have to coordinate in advance with them. The owners are art lovers and can see lots of art pieces (paintings, sculptures) displayed everywhere outdoors and indoors.
Outdoor areas: Small children playground, outdoor terraces for eating or wine tasting, parking spots just front of the farm.
Indoor areas:
1. Rooms: there are, I think 7 rooms, mostly with back Terrace with panoramic view of the vineyards and the others front view also with vineyards view. The size is average good like an hotel room, with wooden carved furniture (bed, cupboards); complete bathroom with shower and clean towels but no toiletries; flat screen tv with mainly Slovenian, German and Croatian channels.
2. Common areas: There is, I think a room with large table and chairs which can be served as meeting room, Seating areas.
3. Dining room and tasting area: Once when inside gives the impression of being inside a wine cellar with rustic wooden tables.
Food: Breakfast abundant with cereals, bread slices, eggs, fruits, yogurts, coffee, tea those classic. For dinner oh, this is a paradise for those great eaters... starters two large bowls of soup, serve and eat as you can... then this large plate with chicken, sausages, meat, potatoes, pasta, grains,rice... eat all this without their own wine?? Both nights when dinnered there we never couldn't finish the whole plate... plus dessert (yummy potica!)...
PRICE: Under 100 euro very very good priced.
PROMOTION: They don't need absolutely to advertise themselves, is like an entire word-of-mouth thing... book well in advance, they are always full!! (we wanted to stay longer but couldn't since the rooms were booked months in advance specially weekends!)
Pluses: There are some bikes which can be rented for cycling in the surroundings; walk in the vineyards; is possible to join the landlady (she is the cook too!) early in the morning for mushroom collecting (one of those days she collected some fungi porcini and other edibles then that evening she prepared mushroom soup, yummy fresh!); possible to join the landlords for grape harvesting (which we tried to book but already fully booked!). There is free wi-fi, didn't work in our room but in the common areas worked perfectly.
Minuses: The only minus for us was the language... The seniors only German and Croatian plus native Slovenian... some English among the young ones but they are not always there... There were separate tables of German guests then at the end of the dinner they started to join as the landlord started to entertain the large group with jokes and songs... I wish I knew some German to join too... but the language barrier didn't spoil our vacations, great was the place, the food and the atmosphere...

Actually a real nice place with a private park and summer Terrace. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed so we only had a few drinks and had a look at the hotel.
It could be a real nice hotel if somebody would take care about it but it seems they do not have a concept.

Sometimes words are not enough to describe the experience. Tonček has offered a unforgettable journey of thousand flavours, kind atmosphere, and above all, we got a feeling that we are extra special and they did their best just for us. Thumbs up - we are looking forward to comming back soon.

It's not place for fine dining, but for a reasonabla price you get big portion of good food. Menu is classic with stakes and pizzas, so if you are hungry or you need to take care of big group, this is a nice place to be.
