Things to do in Delemont

This is a restaurant as I usually like it: good traditional food, friendly service, fair prices.
The location can't be more convenient - just across Delemont railway station.
Thumbs-up for the friendly and efficient, yet unobstrusive service.
Instead of the Brasserie, I chose to have lunch in the Restaurant, here called "Salle A Manger": modern and airy dining room with much space between tables.
Hotel Du Midi serves traditional, unpretentious Swiss-French food. As starter I chose fresh asparagus with air-dried ham and homemade mayonnaise - simple and delicious. As main course I had a tasty Veal Piccata with an even tastier saffron risotto. A soft chocolate cake rounded up my delicious lunch.
Prices remain moderate and therefore good value for money.
I will definitely remember this address for my next visit in Delemont.
Toilets spotlessly clean.

We randomly stumbled upon this place and had an experience to remember. Mind you, you can't miss La Croix: It's located right as you enter the old town and the restaurant's outside Seating area is the one that's busiest. Nice setting, clean surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Everything was good... although the most annoying thing about La Croix is that saying good isn't good enough. And that goes for everything. From the friendly staff (especially Luana) to the attentive service to the tasty food to the reasonable prices; all were perfect. We had perch filets, roast-beef, risotto, taglioline and tartare. Each dish was generously served and deliciously prepared. And the Syrah from Salgesch was an excellent match. We were here with friends who know where (and where not) to eat in Delémont and they told us that they'd been coming here for years and never had a bad experience. Can't wait to go back next time were in town.

We were in Delémont for the Easter weekend - unfortunately there was a 'fête du bistrot' going on, and all of the most popular restaurants in the old town were fully booked for the evening. We'd seen the excellent reviews for the Metropole and the restaurant was actually nearer to our hotel - we made our way there. We definitely made the right choice.
Some may say the restaurant is a little old-fashioned, we'd say traditional with character. Warm with a cosy ambience, we immediately settled in. We ordered the Entrecôte Double, the wine on offer was a favourite of ours so an easy choice.
The Entrecôte was excellent. First serving accompanied by French fries, Café de Paris sauce and vegetables. Second serving with croquette potatoes, red wine sauce and vegetables.
Our waiter Robert, was very efficient and always correct when exchanging pleasantries.
On leaving, we were shown out by the proprietor himself. He wished us good night and an enjoyable stay - a very nice touch indeed.

Simple mais très bonne cette saucisse d’Ajoie ! Passez Le Matin pour café on m’a proposé une réservation pour midi avec un agréable sourire cool ! Bonne atmosphère aussi avec une multigénération !

Nice style, clean and reasonable prices with conscientious service... but the devil is in the details, more precisely on the plate. Dinner started with being served the wrong soup; followed by chicken only just on the limit of cooked with a really bland satay sauce. Even worse the chicken satay was accompanied with a salad and a vinegar dressing that disagreeably mixed with the satay on the same plate. The main course was a symphony of boring taste - desperately far from savory.

We stayed in the hotel and dined in the restaurant . which was nearly full, which is exceptional on a Monday evening. Our favourit autumn dish Civet de Lievre was a fantastic surprise and the best we have ever had. The Spätzle, traditionally served with it, was of a very fine texture and not mushy at all. The dish was garnished with a lovely variety of fruit and tasty red cabbage and sprouts. Just perfect

Me and a friend found this restaurant after looking for somewhere to eat in the old town and we were so glad we did. The food was a amazing. All freshly cooked and authentic. The manger only spoke Italian and French but we managed to get by and figure out what the menu was. The ravioli from the specials board was THE best ravioli I have had!
Ok so it's not cheap, but what is in Switzerland? This is definitely the restaurant to go to if you are in Delemont.

Often traditional and family is associated with approximative and haphazard - well not at the Victoria! Absolutely sumptuous traditional French cuisine in copious servings just across the road from the train station. The service is to the point but polite, the decoration a little old school but not in contrast with the menu. The place is clean and the prices correct. The venison is just excellent!

It's that type of restaurant where upon Reading the menu, between the prices and the proposition, you expect to be have your taste buds and eyes flattered. In fact while the quantities are more than honest, both the presentation and cooking terribly miss finesse. It's good, that's for sure, but with a little more imagination and inspiration they could be fantastic - and be worth their prices.

Everything feels like in Japan here - not so logical while being in Delémont. Tasty Japanese food, professional service and Japanese beers. Clearly recommended.
