Hertford Theatre is a mid-scale, multi-disciplinary, receiving and producing arts venues in the heart of historic Hertford. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing drink or light snack in our wonderful cafe, enjoying the stunning works of art in our gallery. Hertford Theatre offers brilliant theatre, including top shows for families, art house and popular cinema, top name comedians and music, plus a whole host of classes for adults, children and babies.
A great cast and a nice take on this traditional Brothers Grimm tale, appearing at the theatre until early January 2018. Having seen a good few pantos, this one knocks the socks off of most. All involved, from the creative side to the technical, managed to absolutely smash it - all the people in my party (all 249 of them) were absolutely buzzing afterwards. We loved the clever levels of humour and the musical arrangement - especially Hazel's version of 'Bills'. The audience participation is well managed by the cast who performed the show beautifully.
The show is a 'must-see' for families this Christmas. I'll be attending again younger family members.
I've had a number of trips to see shows here, both amateur and professional and seen close-up magic show in a side studio. All my experiences here have been wonderful at all points of contact.
The theatre is well managed and the front of house team are welcoming and professional, with all the facilities that you'd expect in the condition that you'd want....accessible for all.

I've recently moved to Hertford and I found this little museum by chance. It's great! It's free to get in. And, it is stuffed full of the most interesting information about Hertford and local and global artefacts. I took a score off as it was baking. But otherwise I strongly recommend and I'll be going back when the weather is cooler.

We came here last year for an open evening and then joined " friends of bayford" .
In April we came here with some 50 other people to a BAT night . It was just amazing and well worth a visit as we learned so much about our local bats.
Keep an eye out for the next open evenings as its a must .

I often walk around the common in a figure of 8 to also follow the marked out track. The big wide open skies by the lock are wonderful and you can see but not always hear the traffic on the A10 which is nice, because it's so peaceful. There are interesting little nooks and crannies to explore if you're a dog and Bridges on which to play 'pooh sticks'. The play equipment for all ages is very good, toddlers love the sandpit and it's nice to see teenagers making the most of the skatepark. It really is a park/common for everyone and I love it.

Recently been extended and walkways and viewing places added, a great surprise - just massive! Great for picnics, romps with the family and dog. Just one note of caution, car park headroom barrier set a bit low, you can't get a Land Rover 110 under.
