Fine French dining with gourmet ingredients and great service in the centre of Naas, Co. Kildare. Awarded best restaurant in Co. Kildare in the 2011 & 2012 Irish Restaurant Awards, Vie de Chateaux has been at the top of the list of best restaurants in Ireland since opening in 2007.
I was really impressed with this restaurant. Beautiful decor and lovey ambiance. The staff are excellent. I had a beautifully cooked muscle starter followed by chicken for main course. The food was fabulous. Especially liked the French bread with olive oil as we waited for our food. I highly recommend Vie de Chateaux for a romantic meal, special occasion or for any foodie looking for a great place to eat. I have also had the lunch office catering from here and it was delicious and excellent value.

The restaurant is beautiful and tastefully decorated. Pricing is on the high side especially on alcohol. The dishes are very well presented, ingredients fresh, taste ok - not spectacular but tasty and fresh. Service is hit and miss - I guess efficiency of service depends on how full the place is. We stayed 4 nights in the hotel, had 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners there. During weekdays when there are less guests, service is friendly and attentive. But when the restaurant is busy during Fridays and weekends, we experienced a few problems like our orders for drinks and coffee never came, errors in the bill, no one pours our wine. However, the manager quickly resolves the problems when we raise this and is quick to waive charges from the bill as an apology.

Zest is a well renowned local eatery, open early in the morning right throughout the day until late evening.
I had a good, satisfying lunch here today. I was in the vicinity and, having good experiences of this restaurant I could not resist coming back for more. Today I had the hamburger, excellent, followed by the bread pudding all washed down with a good quality beer. Strange though: on the entrance to the car park one is forced to drive down the wrong side of the lane going in and again when exiting. How bizarre! Also the entrance door to the restaurant is so narrow that I could manage by going in sideways and the toilet was so awkwardly arranged so that I had to do some contortions here also to get in an out. I do not understand the thinking behind these design blunders. Come on lads, get one of your architect friends to help out here.

I have very mixed feelings about Butt Mullins, others have sung its praise and I had high hopes when we dined here before Christmas, unfortunately something just didn’t sit right for me. The garlic mushrooms in my opinion were still raw in the middle, too thick to have been cooked through, however the beetroot relish and breads that came along side were divine. Mixed emotions.
The main course had me on the fence also with the ordering the Roasted Vegetable Tartlet, their divine chips were the only star as the “tartlet” was hard, dry and lacked the apparent vegetables, flavour or moisture to compliment the tart!Again not disgusted but not wowed. I will sing praise for the dessert that night, simple Christmas pudding, moist, fruity and melt in your mouth texture, thumbs up. Good service and lovely interior but, jury’s out on Butt Mullins for me.

Las Rada Wine & Tapas bar is a small, cosy bar that serves tasty tapas to share with your family and friends.
The atmosphere is nice although not as nice as the previous location.
We had food from the early bird menu which was good value. But I was disappointed again by the vegetarian option. Every "vegetarian" dish seemed to have Parmesan, which of course is NOT vegetarian, either in it or on it. I thought I had dodged it only to be seved with a side of salad smothered in pesto with parmesan.
This immediately makes me wary of what else may be lurking undeclared in dishes. It's disgusting, but also a potential allergy risk if the chef is not up to speed on basic ingredients.
Food was ok. Service was slow.
Overall not as good as it used to be.

A couple of years since my last visit, and my badly received review! Happy to report that this was an altogether super experience!
Four of us booked in on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. The choice of starters, mains, and desserts was extensive.
I had the ham hock croquettes which were superb. Other starters were the shitake and Cheddar spring rolls and the gin cured salmon, both of which were very good.
For mains I had the special, which was rump of lamb cooked beautifully pink which came with sprouts and leeks and mashed potato with an accompanying jus in a jug. Excellent. The other mains sampled were the very generous and hearty Fish & Chips and the Haloumi Fritters, both of which went down well.
Desserts were the Chocolate Torte, which was very rich, and the apple crumble with custard which was enjoyable.
Lovely ambience, friendly staff, and good food. Ignore my other review!!

No More Info Available, But Fabulous Food In This Restaurant
Bombay Bistro offer delicious and affordable Indian Food in a simple and cosy setting. It may not be haut cuisine or fine dining, but where else can you dine a deux on authentic Indian flavours with a bottle of wine for €35. We are regulars both for dining in and takeaway, and have never been disappointed.

We went over to Ireland to celebrate an aunt's 93rd birthday. The setting / ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, the staff were extremely courteous and helpful and treated the birthday event very well. The meals served were excellent and plentiful. Thank you to all staff involved for a perfect afternoon.

I know it has an extensive menu and I've tried lots of brilliant dishes but the chicken wings with the craft beer is a winning combination for me. The staff are brilliant and especially a lady called Rachel, she goes out of her way to give 110% in a very busy pub. It has a lovely atmosphere of enough people without feeling crowded. I would highly recommend it for a great night out.

This place is fantastic! Food is delicious. Great menu. Excellent quality food & reasonably priced.
Had the steak Sandwich tonight. And what a piece of steak! Tender, juicy & perfectly cooked at medium rare! Accompanying chips were fluffy, crispy and piping hot ! And the pepper sauce was the perfect consistency.
My husband had the steak Sandwich which came with home made onion rings & spicy chicken wings! He declared it to be absolutely fantastic!
The hot apple pie after was sheer perfection. The ideal mix of soft fresh pastry and stewed sweet apples!
I love the cab-sav house red here. Full bodied yet light and goes perfectly with most meals.
We love this place. It's ideal at night for dates / couples with the same standard of food served during the day but family friendly.
The prices are very competitive given the high standard of food and service.
And no review would be complete without mentioning the wonderful John! Always has a kind word for everyone and is always delighted to see us returning, especially if we bring our kids! They in turn adore him too.
In all this place ticks all the boxes.
Food. Variety. Taste. Price. Atmosphere and service.
A little gem in Sallins !
