If you are visiting the capital of Transnistria (this strange self-proclaimed country not recognized by any UN member) do not miss this nice restaurant. Well located, with typical and cozy decor, it serves a variety of Russian, Ukrainian cuisine with some western touch. We tried the chicken in Kiev, some salads and the fantastic pork chop. The service is cordial and the price more than fair.

Were to start on this place? I used to bring groups here whenever I was here, and even though it was always bad they have strived to make it worse! Service is extremely rude, you are very lucky if they get the bill right and they refuse to split checks. The food is average, and to top it all off despite me spending a lot of money in there after 45 minutes they cut the wifi off unless you pay for more......Yes, really. Avoid like Ebola.

Located on the second floor of a department store, this restaurant/cafe is both affordable (even by Transnistrian standards) and serves a wide variety of local and international foods. The menus have text in English as well - so if you don't understand Russian (good luck...MoreThank you so much!

Andys Pizza is a chain restaurant with outlets seen in Benderi, Tiraspol, and Balti and Kishinev in Moldava. As such, the restaurant itself is very clean, good toilets, and combines family-friendly aspects of McDonalds and Pizza Hut. The food itself was good though precisely what I would expect from a chain restaurant elsewhere. A safe bet. Prices very low if you're from the West.
This restaurant is visible on the main drag heading in to town and is directly across the street from a military monument and cemetary. Reachable by trolley bus.
One of the questions is whether this is an "American" restaurant. I would say yes, as this restaurant would be rather usual in the US. Some of the breakfast items would be a bit unusual in iHop or Dennys, otherwise this restaurant is quite American in spirit.

We were starving and wanted quickly something to eat so we went to "7 Fridays" restaurant because of the delicious looking advertisement outside. Place was clean and waiter was very kind but did not speak english. It did not matter, we were able to order the food and when we got our portions I was positively surprised. The burger was so juicy and very tasty. I wish I could have it right now.. Mmmmmm.. burger..
Just try it!

My self and 2 friends stoped in for desert and a coffee but changed our minds and had cocktailes instead. we enjoyed the clean metro styled decor of red black and white. We enjoyed our drinks that were reasonabley priced along with free Wi-Fi. we were able to sit on a bench outside the Aveanue and still use there Wi-Fi. I will return to Cafe Avenue in the near future,Spasibo.

There is a brewery in Bender that makes a beer called 'Staraya Krepost'. Although you can buy the beer in many shops in Transnistria, why not to taste it in a local bar? There is one on Suvorov Street. It can be easily overlooked - there is a small information plaque on a fairly big building.
The pub is located in a basement that, at first contact, was a bit smelly. There was only one couple in the pub at the time, but they left pretty quickly and we were the only clients, even though it was Saturday afternoon and the temperature was more than 30 degrees outside. The waitress spoke very basic English and was really friendly.
The beer cost 20 Transnistrian roubles (about 1,5 EUR) and it was a typical lager.
Although this place isn't anything fancy, it's always interesting to see a place where time froze, I guess, about 20 years ago. Oh, and check the toilet (you can get the key from the waitress) - it is a true Soviet experience ;)
