Well-known as the perfect venue for a stylish evening out, we offer guests live entertainment from our dance floor alongside superb dinner courses. Renowned for our fresh seafood and Chalmar steak, our menu comprises of classic dishes with a subtle Portuguese flair. Including a spacious cigar lounge and private dining room our venue is versatile as well as suitable for private functions.
What a delight to find a restaurant where service, food and ambiance combine to make a wonderful mix. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Our waiter's recommendations were spot on. The food flavours were sublime and the portion sizes surprisingly large. I was on crutches and the management saw me "walking" toward the restrooms, only to move ahead of me to open doors and assist. in a time were service excellence has become a rarity, Pigalle stands out for me as a cut above. Have been singing there praises to many and will definitely be back!

La Colombe, one of Cape Town's most well-loved and awarded restaurants. Contemporary French-meets-Asian fine dining.
Not surprising La Colombe features in lists of the world's top restaurants. The set lunch menu is indeed a performance: as the chef says:"food is our theatre". And all this in a lovely setting overlooking the wooded hillside and vines. Predictably excellent staff, exquisite tastes in each of the numerous courses, delicious wines.

Addis in Cape! Voted best African Eatery in Cape Town, an authentic Ethiopian restaurant that caters for Non-vegetarian, Vegan and Vegetarian clients. We provide a unique communal dining experience you, your family and friends will remember. From traditional hand-wash ceremonies to our traditional Ethiopian coffee we promise a memorable experience. Ethiopian cuisine is famous for its rich aromas and generous use of herbs and spices. The country was historically situated on trading routes that included the trade of many exotic spices; this history has had a tremendous influence on the taste of Ethiopian food as we know it. Today most of the herbs and spices are blended and prepared in the home with great love and attention, as are those used in Addis in Cape. The dishes that you taste here are unique to Ethiopia and we are proud as a restaurant to share them with you.

In the last 3 weeks we have visited Fork 5 times. As locals we have tried many places that serve tapas and this is definitely one of the best. The only way to describe the tapas is DELICIOUS and they are consistently that way. We love the Raclette fondue, the Fig rocket tomatoe and feta salad and the pan seared ostrich fillet on sweet potato amongst many others. The restaurant is a piece of fun sophistication in Vibey Long street with great service and decent wines. Not to be missed!

Dinner on a Monday evening and the place the buzzing. Casual atmosphere with friendly professional service made for a comfortable experience. We ate prawns, oysters and mussels to start - the prawns were outstanding. Blue nose for main course with al dente stir fry veg were incredibly delicious. Cheesecake to finish was also surprisingly good. Will remember this place for a long time to come. Highly recommmended.

Buitenverwachting offers a elegantly casual dining experience, with design and menu reflecting the authentic character of the wine estate. A new wine library was established for pre-dinner drinks and tasting experience of rare and vintage wines.
We dined at this rather lovely restaurant after visiting the winery and vineyard. This restaurant is situated in one of Buitenverwachting's beautiful and original thatch buildings and forms part of the wonderful complex of the wine estate. This restaurant is in a stunning location with views to die for and after dining here, the food that we had was of a good quality as everything was beautifully seasoned to ensure rather fresh, natural tasting food. The ingredients used for the dishes were so fresh and natural that it gave an extra added natural flavours to the overall texture of the dishes. The usage of the herbs and spices was perfected rightly to ensure a finely balanced taste and flavours of the dishes. The service at this restaurant was fine with nice, friendly waiting staff, while the wines accompanying our meals, especially the reds, were fantastic and of the highest quality. Overall this was a great dining experience with good food, good service, fantastic wines in a relaxed and comfortable environment in such a beautiful and tranquil settings. We left extremely satisfied and happy to have dined here.

A state of the art dining room and cutting-edge kitchen sets the scene at Greenhouse, where produce of the Constantia Valley and the region are presented as culinary creations in an intimate taste space. Here guests are invited on a multi-sensory journey of distinctly South African flavours and hospitality, as they savour and indulge in the delectable creations of Peter Tempelhoff and his team. Greenhouse stretches the boundaries of traditional South African cuisine, brings conceptual creations from the garden, veld and sea to the plate and shares local stories and culinary insights through the dining experience. Expect the unexpected... Greenhouse is where meals translate to memories.
We visited the restaurant for the third time. Again it was fantastic. Excellent service. Extremely creative and outstanding quality and passion! We already look forward to our next visit!

On my travels to Thailand I developed a love and passion for Asian food. From shopping at the local food markets to creating my first authentic Thai dish, I was in heaven. You will notice a common thread in what I do and who I am. Love. I cook with love and my food is love." Internationally, Bistro Sixteen82 has been recognised in the list of 20 of the World’s Best Winery Restaurants by Canada’s renowned Wine Access magazine. Locally, listings included prominent mentions in Fleur du Cap’s Top 100 Places; Eat in Cape Town; and EAT OUT’s Best Bistros list.
Firstly the wine tasting, well organised, knowledgeable, friendly staff and fabulous wine. The Capensis chardonnay is great, I don't drink much white wine but we visited a second time just for this wine. The setting is beautiful, modern and relaxing.
The bistro -1682 was very good, popular and trendy. We had the chef's choice as we wanted to try something different, all were tasty and well delivered. A good place to visit to enjoy good wine and food in a lovely setting.

Booking process needs changing. They release bookings once every few months, 3 months ahead at 8AM South African time. Travelling from the UK, I tried to secure a booking within 2 hours of them releasing an allocation to no avail. It was completely booked out.
How about - release them gradually, giving people a better chance to book. This is a restaurant, not an Apple store, not everyone wants to camp out overnight to be first in line to be relieved of their cash, before the proprietor runs out of stock, or in this case, booking allocations.
Website says, e-mail for lunch Reservations. Upon e-mailing you get an auto responder saying bookings over e-mail will not be accepted.
A restaurant is not just about food, it is about the overall experience, and if you can't even get a table, the experience sucks right from the outset.

Locally sourced and seasonal menu
The staff and management were friendly and accommodating. Choices were limited as lunch was almost over. Perhaps some generic menu options would alleviate this. But I do feel that R185 for pork belly swimming in a broth isn't really good value. The coriander was a...MoreOnes tries ones best to read walk-ins but gauranteed this time of year a spur customer falls thru the cracks
