We have been here on a number of times over the years and always enjoyed our visit. This occasion was no exception. We both had Tandoori chicken with two separate vegetable dishes, it was beautifully cooked and presented. As ever the food and service was...MoreWe are glad that you have enjoyed, thank you very much for your wonderful comment . We look forward to seeing you both soon.Harun (Baltistan)

It is a shame one is not allowed to award 6 stars.
After a long weekend built around this year's PAGB Print Championships, it's the third Italian in three nights and comfortably the best.
Indeed one of the finest meals I have ever had, never mind Italian. The risotto pictured - crayfish and mushroom - is the best ever. Such flavour and a sensible quantity. The other members of the party had ravioli and lemon sole wrapped in salmon. Both excellent.
Desserts were panacotta, lemon crunch cheesecake with chocolate gelato and cherry & vanilla gelato.
The customary macchiato to close. Magnificent.
You don't judge restaurants by their loos but these were exemplary. Well designed, modern and extremely clean.
Clearly much thought - and money - had been put into the design and build of the entire complex. The owner, Guido (cousin of the owner of Franco's (see separate review) and many of his staff come from the Sorrento region of Italy and Naples.
A brilliant evening, thank you all so very much.

This is a lovely cosy, warm and inviting pub/restaurant which we visited on Saturday teatime. It was quiet when we arrived but soon became busy with a mix of families and couples. The service was excellent and we were served by a very pleasant young man who appeared to handle the dining room on his own with great ease. The food was excellent , hot ,homemade and all freshly prepared. We could not fault anything at all and it was very well priced. Would recommend the 3 layered meat and potato pie, the special pie of the week which was chicken, ham and leek and the New York cheesecake.
Also , a section of the pub is dog friendly, so we shall return with our Labrador.

What can I say, absolutely amazing. took my wife and sister in law out for lunch whilst on a visit to Lancashire from Staffordshire. Chicken and black pudding stack was out standing. Service was excellent and staff very pleasant. Definitely will be calling again next time we visit Lancashire. THANK YOU.

Food and service first class. Visited on a Friday night, was very quiet, more people need to be spreading the word! Staff very friendly. The tandoori chicken was delicious. Will definitely be going again.

A well earned treat after a long day driving to Accrington from the south coast.
We had been recommended, by our hosts - Colney House Hotel (see separate review).
A pleasant, family run (?) Italian. Our party enjoyed pasta (penne rabieni), pizza and fillet steak Diane. Desserts ranged from Tiramisu (NOT like Artimino, see separate review) and Eton mess.
A couple of bottles of Montepulchino seemed to disappear, and as ever a macchiato to finish.
Friendly staff and good service.

The Griffins Head Bar & Grill specialising in Grilled Meats & Cocktails
Came here tonight for a last minute catch up with my son. Lovely surroundings although slightly uncomfortable chairs, and uneven table made for nearly loosing my gin a couple of times! Talking of gin, lovely and very well presented and plenty of choice. Food, we went straight for mains, 2 fillet steaks served with fries for £23, little pot of sauce was charged extra. Steaks perfectly cooked. Desserts were delicious too, the strawberry cheesecake was to die for. The waitress was very pleasant when she served us but felt abandoned at times when we wanted to order more drinks but couldn’t get anyone’s attention, we won’t sit at the back of the room again but will definitely return.

This place never fails to impress. Quite easy to drive past it without noticing yet call in and the food is amazing. The naga sauce is delicious i go for king prawn. My mrs had mushroom samba which was also really tasty. Starters, service and bring your own booze. Simple yet superb...
