The Lord Shiva statue can be seen from the highway itself & that is what attracted us to take a detour and come here. Both the temple & the statue are gigantic. The place was incredibly crowded; it made us not go inside the temple but just visit from outside.
The gopuram is beautiful. The surrounding areas are full of small shops and restaurants.

I travelled to Murudeshwar to complete my Scuba certification. It was a solo trip.
These guys were great. Well equipped and very organized. Keith and Brandon made sure I was super comfortable and had a great time. The certification went off extremely well.
Loads of marine life and serene open sea.
Highly recommend them.

When in Murudeshwar, worth spending an hour here. Its better to go in evening when weather is good, plus you can see beautiful sunset. Walk out when lights are lit. Place looks beautiful with lights on.

Murudeshwar beach is quite clean and the town itself is quite well maintained with good roads. Avoid the beach after sunset. It is not that safe.

Wanted to start 2018 by doing something adventrous on the very first day ...what better scuba diving ... so settled for scuba diving in netrani island by Dive Goa.in. It was our second time, first being in Andamans, which had been amazing experience. Rajesh was the person we met, nice guy, but took very small time to explain the basics. Being our second time wasn't difficult to understand. Long slow journey to the island, to our surprise, no landing, only four at a time, and we had 22 people lined up and so kept dangling for 5 hours in a small boat...and nothing we could do. The worse part was to be placed with the trainer with the name??Idris....nasty and bad tempered person. Was taking the trip like we were trained guys. My other family members could have a better time, as we got him changed for them......overall andamans had better coral, cheaper, much more professional competent people...definetly can give a miss...

Initially I wasn't even aware of the existence of the fort but later got to know and it was beautiful and watching the sunset from there was amazing.

My kids did scuba with WCA in Netrani Island, 20 km off Murudeshwar and had a very pleasant experience.
My son did the certified dive and my daughter did the discover scuba dive.
The trainers Keith, Moin, Brandon and Vibhu were all very helpful.
Only negative, if any, was that the initial email contact was difficult. Once the contact was established, it was all great. Maybe they can have a separate individual reply to email inquiries.
