We were driving to Saskatoon to spend Thanksgiving with my wife's Mom. And were late getting away from Winnipeg. I was very hungry. I started craving a simple, well-prepared roast beef with the complement of garlic mashed potatoes. So simple; so good...especially if it's a decent-sized portion (which is usually, but not always, what happens at The Keg). And if the cut is less fatty than usual.
I called ahead from the road to make a reservation, as it was Friday night on a holiday weekend. I was tired. I really didn't want to have to wait in a lineup...I'm so glad I did...
Because when we arrived, as scheduled, and there were a dozen or more people waiting to get in, we waited not 1 minute before being shown to our table. A pleasant surprise.
While the place was full...clearly, there was some sort of major event on at the exhibition centre that day....the service was prompt, efficient. Surprisingly, not that unctuous cloying service you get today, especially at chains. All formulaic conversation....
For some reason not that night, not at that restaurant. Rather, we were served by real servers. Real people. Simple and direct service-oriented language. No verbatim queries and comments identical to the service patter experienced during every other restaurant meal. Great concept. But very hard to find anymore, especially in a chain. That was the 2nd surprise.
I ordered the same roast beef meal, exactly, that I'd had the night before at The Keg in Winnipeg. Which was a very nice meal. But this meal was better, the best ever I've had in a Keg restaurant...
My wife's meal (seared tuna salad) was very good as well.
The manager came by....twice...to make sure we were happy. Once is a surprise in itself, for sure. Usually not the manager. But twice....without making us feel intruded upon. Not really sure how he did that...but I was rather impressed.
We set off on the late long drive to Regina, after an unexpected high-quality meal and dining experience I certainly didn't expect from The Keg. For me, it felt like when the franchise first started...as The Keg and Cleaver back in those days..in the 1970s, when it was new and special. I didn't expect that.
It was just one meal...one night...and it is unlikely to be repeated the next time I go to The Keg. I like that meal...I like it's consistent good quality. I always order it.
But I doubt that the combination of genuine serving people, prompt and efficient service, and food preparation and taste could match what so happily surprised us at The Brandon Keg, that one evening.

To be concise we enjoyed our visit to Marinos but the non pizza dishes were nothing special. Flavour? Yes. But more so from the goopy melted cheese. It was hard to distinguish anything below in either the baked pasta dishes or the onion soup.
Service was pleasant but not personal nor prompt.
Can’t recommend these dishes for the price.

Every time we come here we get excellent service and excellent food. Even if the server is busy or flustered and messes something up (I never get upset) they do their best to fix it and make you feel better. ALWAYS come for a birthday! Wear the horns, get a fun song sang to you by the staff and a free awesome dessert!! The kids love to come and colour on the table and on their place mats. (so do the adults LOL)

We stop at Velvet Dip every chance we get, usually once a year when visiting from Ontario. They have a large selection of ice cream, soft, hard and specialty items. The quality is consistently top notch and often a customer line-up. We always have the chocolate soft serve dipped in coconut sauce. We can't find it in Ottawa and so far it's a one of a kind. If you like ice cream, stop here to enjoy!

Behind Lakeview Hotel. Best little restaurant offering Greek Food, Pizza, Seafood, Prime Rib (to die for)
Food was good. Souvlaki was very small quantity and small quantity of rice. Tzatziki sauce is good as well as lemon potatoes. Wine was 7 dollars for glass. Waitress mixed up order. The mixed up separate bill items. Then left us to pay with debit machine. The machine didn't work then she left again we waited again to finish the transaction. Overall food ok but overpriced for small quantity.

Come and sit a spell in our sunny cafe. Our recommendation for lunch is a lovely piece of quiche with one of our fresh salads. The wine and cheese salad, fresh greens with goat cheese, grapes, pecans and our famous balsamic vinaigrette is a customer favorite. Then, indulge in a delicious slice of New York style cheesecake, while sipping a steaming cup of gourmet tea. We source local food, organic when we can and make all our desserts, scones, dressings & sauces with quality ingredients. We purchase our bread and cinnamon buns from a local, organic bakery. Our beef is from local, natural producers. In season, Stephanie grows a variety of our greens, veggies and flowers, straight from the farm to our kitchen. Good homemade food and great baking. Soups are really good. Quiche is one of my favourites. Really nice shop with unique items. Great spot for that unique Christmas gift. Some things are a little pricey but you can find unique things that will not break the bank

Popped into Joe Beeverz on a Friday around 530pm, restaurant was busy but we snagged the last booth in the lounge. We each got a beer from their house selection, the Bucktooth Blonde is great! I had the pulled pork poutine, which comes in a super cool “beaver dam” shape. With pulled pork, cheese curds, gravy, bbq sauce and onions it hit the spot. (And made for a great lunch the next day too, portion was huge!!)
Would highly recommend to anyone who likes a unique dining experience mixed with a classic sports bar vibe!

Pizza, pasta, subs, poutine, salads, appetizers and more. High quality, great tasting food; exceptional service. Delivery, pick-up or Dine-in. Family Owned for 32 years. Call or order online today!!!
I love this restaurant! Everything that we ever ordered is so good. Some items are a bit pricey, but the excellent taste and the huge portions made it up. Service is good, atmosphere is good, but the Seating is very limited, so we ended up ordering take out most of the time.

We tend to go there every time we visit Brandon. Salads always fresh and tasty with delicious dressing. Buffet much better value than ala carte. Chicken and pork schnitzel both delicious. Not sure if perogies are made fresh or are frozen. Bratwurst spicy and tasty. Friendly service. Based on your taste and expectations, you will love it or be disappointed. We personally really enjoy the food and will eat there again. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Not a fancy restaurant or chain but more like what you would get home cooked by your German aunt based on recipes handed down from generation to generation.

Went here for a quick breakfast and what a great place. Fast and very friendly staff. Daily breakfast special was amazing. Coffee kept full and under $30 for 3 adults. Definitely go again for their breakfast and next time in the area, will try their lunch and lunch buffet
