The NT ladies at the entrance pay area were courteous and extremely helpful. The Gardens were accessible to a mobility scooter. We circumnavigated the Gardens and were enchanted by the perfume of the Daphne shrub which permeated the walk just past the Prospect and house ruins. The south side of the Gardens were prettily dotted with snowdrops and cyclamen. This garden is well worth a visit, especially as the Netflix The Crown drama has recently focused on Anthony Armstrong Jones link to Nymans through his mother.
We will definitely return to Nymans - charming place.

A Great English Garden of rare plants and stunning landscapes make Borde Hill the perfect day out for horticultural enthusiasts, country lovers and families. Tranquil outdoor ' rooms' include the Azalea Ring and Rhododendron Gardens, fragrant Rose Garden and scenic Italian Garden, plus subtropical dells and ruins. Woodland walks, adventure playground and events throughout the season. See website for details.
We hadn't visited Borde Hill for quite a few years - why ever not, we now ask. What we noticed is how established the planting now is and how much additional land is being used. The Gardens, even on a rainy day, are a sheer delight, with exciting trees round every corner. A special feature is the Italian Garden, which has lovely planting and stunning views across the Gardens.
One feature we really appreciated is the hundred or so statues, all individual works of art, scattered around the estate. They are exciting and blend in beautifully. The Italian Garden, for example, has a dual counterbalanced water Fountain, which fills up two containers then discharges them into the pond as the weight increases. Charming fun.
Borde Hill is a delight to walk around - and with Jeremy's restaurant and Café Elvira on tap, what more could anyone want?

You need stout boots to walk across fields and through thicket - carry a small step ladder. The best effects are at dask/dawn when you can get contrasting light patterns. End to End shots through the supports is a popular shot

Enjoy the vast and beautiful grounds of Wakehurst. Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex is home to over 500 acres of ornamental Gardens, temperate woodland, nature reserve and the Millennium Seed Bank. Wakehurst is glorious year-round with natural play spaces for children, regular family friendly events and a well-stocked gift shop, café and restaurant.
Picturesque, chilled regular walk for me and the family long or short and nice house to wonder around aswell

Visited twice during August. The cafe, gift shop and pet accessories shop are all well run. The adoption centre is welcoming with friendly and professional staff. Prospective cat owners are checked and given lots of advice and information before and during the cat adoption process. We are delighted with our gorgeous cat and I would highly recommend the Cats Protection National Adoption Centre to anyone looking to give a cat a good home.

High Weald Dairy run popular 1 day cheese making courses where groups of 8 students will learn to make cheese using simple equipment often available in the kitchen. It is a very much hands on course, feeling the changes that occur turning milk into curds and whey and finally cheese. During the day we have a tour of the dairy, to see how cheese is made on a larger scale. Cheese is available to purchase directly from the dairy during the week, please call first if you plan to come at the weekends, as we are not always available.
We came here for the Christmas event.
Very friendly staff, mulled cider to drink whilst tasting the cheeses.
Great selection of very tasty cheese.
We were also entertained by one of the staff with a great comedy sketch. Great fun.
We bought cheese for Christmas Day and also for presents.
We will be back for Christmas

Deceptively long railway track, good value, lots of tunnels so the children enjoyed it! Would definitely visit again.

Fun Pots pottery painting studio offers a welcoming environment for people of all ages to relax and create treasured gifts and keepsakes.
I have been to Funpots many times both with children and adult friends. I most recently put my babies footprints on a lovely clock, my 3 year old loves painting presents for relatives, and I enjoy going there with my friends for some creative me-time. The staff are all friendly and so helpful and talented.
Our courses offer a brief introduction to the history of candle-making, an understanding of the types of waxes available and their advantages and disadvantages, how size and types of candle wick are also important, burn times and so on. We then move on to the equipment necessary for the hobbyist. All the techniques will be explained and demonstrated, and common mistakes ironed out.
