And unjustifiably so....
The home of 1000 masks and 4000 puppets of different origins that are perfectly kept is astounding and well worth a visit. The Gardens surrounding the Houses are a treat to the eyes.
I urge you to make the detour for a visit when in Bali.

In this unusual place of worship, mischievous simians throng among sacred temples and lush greenery.
It was calming to walk among the coolness of the forest and watch the monkeys who fearlessly approach visitors for food. Glad that they restrict this to bananas, but the clever chaps still go for anything shiny like water bottles and sunscreen tubes! If you observe all the rules of the sanctuary, the monkeys don't bother you at all.

This was fantastic, learning how coffee is made and trying fantastic coffees and teas. We were greeted with a tour guide as soon as we arrived. They took us through ta private tour of the whole process with out receiving any payment. Than they gave us a huge selection of coffees and teas to try. The Luwaks seemed really well looked after. Our tour guide was really friendly and spoke English quite well. If you want to try the Luwak coffee that will cost you 5000 IDR ($5 AUD), Which is really good coffee. After trying your coffee you are taken to the shop. I strongly suggest you buy a couple things, The tour and samples were free. Also make sure to tip your tour guide.
But I highly recommend this even if you don't like coffee or Tea. It's a great experience and there is a fantastic view of the rice terraces.

Just 20 minutes from Ubud, our 4.9 Acre compound features a luxury jewelry workshop, where each piece is crafted by hand using ancient jewelry making techniques passed down from the descendants of the goldsmiths from the royal courts of Bali. Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table lunch and visit the stunning Kapal Bambu, our showroom where you can shop the ultimate in artisan-crafted luxury and the pinnacle of Balinese craftsmanship.
Absolutely stunning buildings greet you as you wander through massive bamboo pathways from room to room. Beautiful arrangements of flowers as well as stunning jewellery. Very knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to attend to you. Of course the jewellery is stunning as well! Love the ethos of all the staff dining together. Just so worth a visit.

I had a two hour body massage. Starting from head to toe balinese massage, and end up with a chocolate body mask. So relaxing that I fell asleep immediately. Two hour seems too short. Place was clean and neat with bali traditional ambience. Friendly staff. The therapist ask my massage preference. Definitely will come back on my next visit.

Located at Sukawati area, this is the place where you can enjoy exciting adventures and adrenaline pump. It's definitely not for children or elderly. Visit this hidden canyon at summer because sometimes they close the attraction because of the river or dam or weather, and it's too dangerous.
You must use a local guide to lead the way for you and this is a must, don't ever think because you're an expert rock climbing, powerful bla bla bla then you refuse to use a guide. Two year ago this place is very difficult to track, but now the local guide make it easier but still need a lot of effort to walk from start to the end. So follow exactly what the local guide told you. Wear a short pants and bring small backpack, because at certain point you'll get wet. Maybe better a pants like for swimming or for the beach. Some people prefer to walk in the water, but perhaps walk or swim in the water more dangerous than climb or crawl the cliff, because you don't know under water landscape, maybe there's sharp rocks or anything that'll harm you. Don't ever afraid or shy to ask the guide to help you walk or climb...
The canyon it self was spectacular, amazing and jaw falling scenery. It's really worth every single step you walked. The water color, the cliff color and rocks everywhere so beautiful, like walk in the other world. Near the end of the track, you'll find a swing made by local people, so you can take photos.
Please give a decent tip to the local guide, because their income was so small for a single trip to guide a guest. Sometimes when the attraction closed due to the weather, so they get nothing. Maybe they should consider to raise ticket fee, right now the ticket fee too cheap.

What a magnificent place. We went yesterday and my partner proposed to me having lunch over the private eating overlooking the rice field.
The food was amazing, the setting was beautiful and was one of the most beautiful places to visit.
The pork ribs we had Australian and local and they were Devine.
A must do in Ubud.

I was there there this morning after Reading such wonderful views only to my disappointment of feeling threatened. It looked like a tourist trap. First they make you put IDR 10,000 in a box, the money isn’t the point, the point is that it’s not a ticket, someone just decided to put a box there and collecting money. Then if you are alone you are followed by some local guys there for I don’t know what and felt very unpleasant and unsafe to be there by myself. The falls are fun and beautiful but don’t go alone unless you know how to handle these locals chasing for money I am sure. I was there for five minutes and then ran back.

Bali's first and only zoological park is a wondrous place where you can learn the behavior of over 500 rare and exotic animals in a lush, tropical environment. A park where you can participate in fascinating animal adventure activities, some of which are unique experiences of their kind in Indonesia. www.bali-zoo.com
What a fantastic experience, a day I will always treasure. The moment we booked this I was so excited as I have always since I was little wanted to be close to an Orangutan. It was beautifully organised in lovely surroundings, the breakfast was delicious and restaurant staff so attentive. All the animals we encountered were well looked after and their needs considered. I was taken with emotion when we arrived and there they were sitting together a couple of metres from where I was standing. I don’t mind admitting I did shed a tear or two of joy. We were the first to go and have our experience with one of the little girls. They were delightful and the time just flew by, other animals appear for you to enjoy too. The keeper said to me at the end you can see them again I was thrilled, Cha Cha came to me later and said the same thing as we had the table right in front of them,I cuddled her and thanked them both so much. I cannot speak to highly enough regarding the whole experience, it was just magical. Thank you once again. X x
We then walked round the rest of the zoo, it is small but beautifully looked after and improvements were being made with new areas and attractions advertised.
Be careful when you go and see the male orangutan as he throws mud and stones at you, he is so handsome and lovely to watch but I guess a bit lonely.
I would have happily paid just for the experience and not seen the zoo but that is included in the price. Checkout the experiences on offer they are well worth the money, we got a good deal with a driver that took and waited for us worth shopping around.
