St.Lawrence Gap, a 1.3 km stretch of road in the parish of Christ Church, is famous for its fine restaurants, diverse accommodation, lively nightlife and good shopping.
My wife and I stopped by "The Gap" on a couple of occasions to have dinner (Harlequin and Primo). It is an area that provides dining/drinking venues within an easily walkable area. Along with this comes larger crowds and perhaps some undesirable people and activity. Like any poplar dining/drinking area, use common sense and keep you wits about you. My wife and I never felt unsafe however you do need to be careful of traffic. Overall a good place to visit as it has some of the nicer restaurants in the area.

"Booze, Beats & Burgers" is the philosophy at The Old Jamm Inn, a unique bar and nightclub unlike any other in Barbados, emphasising great food and drinks, great music and most importantly, great service.Founded on the location of the former AfterDark Complex, the venue stands as the centrepiece in the rejuvenation of St. Lawrence Gap, in a return to the Gap's livelier day.Unique decor, the best in both live and DJ music and an amazing throwback atmosphere are just some of the elements that distinguish The Old Jamm Inn from any other music venue on the island.
visited this place many times, pretty good live music. cheap drinks. was ok. all sorts of people come here. every time i visited the atmosphere was different. some nights there are more local people than tourists and the crowd is younger. overall a pretty good place to people watch.

ok we may have just been unlucky but when you opt for the House Special Cocktail at a significant price and you get a small fruit juice with ice..it rankles...and deserves its 1 star rating.in direct contrast with so many other nearby establishments.

Bike Caribbean is a local, family owned company offering bike tours and rentals in Barbados. Randy has been riding and fixing up bikes for 24 years. Representing Barbados on an international scale, he is well known around the island for biking. We like to keep tour groups small and love to help create great memories for fellow riders by taking photos and videos along the way.
We hired bikes for the week from Randy. They were well serviced and we had no problems what so ever. Randy very kindly delivered them to us at our hotel and collected them at the end. He also gave us some good tips on where...MoreThank you for this great feedback Cathy, we loved that you had such a great time riding around the island and hope to see you again in the new year.

My girlfriends and myself all ended up at Hal's car park bar and we all had an awesome time, we danced for hours and eat from the outside vendor with the famous bajan burgers. Hal's was cut into half but now has return to its regular size which it great, with more Seating and a lot more space for dancing. We will be returning.

As we visit different countries throughout the Caribbean and the world we always like to find Catholic Churches to visit and worship with the locals. This church was within walking distance from our hotel and what a gem it is. The Sunday service was great, the priest had a "to the point" homily and overall atmosphere was great and welcoming. Service lasted around 50min.
Mass schedule as follows:
Saturday Vigil 6:30pm
Sunday: 7am, 10:30am, 6:30pm

Join me for outdoor sea view yoga classes on the south coast , and stand up paddle (SUP) yoga on the tranquil west coast of Barbados! All ages and ability levels welcome!
We did a SUP yoga class with Jen and had so much fun! My husband was a complete beginner yogi and still thoroughly enjoyed it. You will fall in but it doesn't matter - it's beautiful clear water at Pebbles beach. Jen herself was absolutely lovely as well, had a big smile the whole way through, would thoroughly recommend a lesson with her.

A fantastic venue, right in the middle of the Gap, some great music and an amazing vibe once the music gets going, the bars are located towards the edges of the dance floor, if it rains which is often late at night, a short dash gets you under cover, but normally people just party on through it. be back here in Sept 2015

At Spa Express Barbados we understand that time is precious and often rare commodity. There are times where schedules get busy, and moments where a slower pace is essential. My daughter (age 19) and I stayed at the Southern Palms Beach Club the first week in April and noticed this spa across the street. We contacted them first by mail and before we got back to our room they had written us back and also called the hotel room. They seemed eager for the business so we decided to walk over and make appointments. We made appointments for that afternoon, one after the other. My daughter went over first for a 3:00 PM appointment (1 hour massage) and the "therapist" was over 20 minutes late because she was having lunch. The massage for her was the same as for me, horrible and the girl was clearly not a professional or certified in massage, she seemed annoyed that she had to do it. I arrived as my daughter was leaving and we didn't have a chance to speak. The girl led me into the room and I prepared myself and then waited for what seemed like forever for the girl to return to the room for my massage. I could hear the two women talking outside the door so I do not know why it took so long. Again, a massage that was not even the same on both sides of the body. She then finished early, same as for my daughter and left me ample time to get dressed and come out. Both of our 1 hour massages were barely 30 minutes each. When I came out to pay, I tried to use my credit card and could clearly see the credit card machine sitting on the desk and was told, sorry, only cash. At this point I did not realize that they'd provided a bad service to both of us and I just paid with cash and left. I felt quite annoyed after hearing from my daughter about her experience. I'm sure there are wonderful spa places around the island, filled with people who love their jobs and enjoy helping others relax. This one does not seem to want to stay in business. They only want your money! It was a very poor start to my relaxing holiday by the beach.
