Friendliest, best equipped & most Professional shop on whole coast, with fantastic attractive course, great club & wonderful staff
We travelled a total of 400kms to visit the ProShop which is so well stocked it makes a golfers eyes water! Well done to Sheena and Derek. The variety of Men's Pringle shirts, golf shirts and shorts and that amazing ARC label golf clothing for ladies is a winner.
Wish my golf did the course justice. It looks like an easy course but one needs to think about the tee shots as there is sufficient water to catch the inaccurate and those bunkers are not ornaments! I suggest taking a caddy as they know their oats. Wiseman was a great caddy and is highly recommended.
The course is really pretty so those that do not play golf would enjoy accompanying their golfing partner just for the beautiful views and some "strange" houses along the golf course.
Well worth a visit to play golf and some retail therapy.

A very busy course in high season with lots of residents in the resort using the golf course. Booking is essential. Not cheap for visitors but resort home owners & residents enjoy a preferential rate. Golf Carts are essential as there are steep climbs and some long walks between green & tees.
The course is a coastal parkland with water coming into play on a number of holes. It is not too long but it is a challenging course in good condition. Pro shop is well stocked but expensive.
The halfway house was OK serving typical half way house fare. The clubhouse has recently been refurbished and updated but in the summer heat an outdoor table under the umbrellas with a cool breeze is the best place to enjoy the 19th hole.
Don't be put off that it is on a private estate. it is open to the public but as warned bookings needed.

I was exceptionally pleased with the treatment I received. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was peaceful and can’t wait to visit again! The treatment left me feeling so relaxed, mellow and feeling great! One of the best experiences I have had at a Spa.

Considering the inclement weather we had this past weekend, the hospitality of the owners and hosts of the caravan park the were very warm and friendly people. We had some amazing siting of a school of whales playing in the waters of the beach as well as the dolphins, we were also able to watch the beautiful fish eagle. They had caravan sites as well as parker homes, log cabins. All were very well looked after, the ablutions were very clean and the staff were, very helpful in setting up of the caravans and tents, they had a heated swimming pool as well as various play areas for the children. We had an amazing weekend.

There are a lot of butterflies on display here. Depending on what time of year you go you might see more or less. A great experience to see all the different kinds of butterflies on display.

Owner operated by Mark and Megan Brand, Selsdon Park Estate is a working sugar cane farm located between Trafalgar and Marina Beach near Margate, and has sixteen horses ranging from ponies for kids to eight draft horses for hefty riders.
I’m not a hefty rider but I am tall, which is probably why I was allocated a giant horse. When it comes to transport I prefer my ride to not have a mind of its own or a motion that causes your butt to be rubbed raw in the saddle - next time I’ll wear cycling shorts for padding, and some butt cream!
But the post-ride discomfort is certainly worth the elevated viewing advantage afforded by horse riding through suburbia, along bush trails and on open stretches of golden beach with waves lapping over the horses hooves.
The average riding time is around one hour and the group is escorted by experienced guides riding front and back, who keep the posse ambling along at a sedate pace.
Highly recommended!
Selsdon Park Estate also have two types of self-catering accommodation - a sea view and garden cottage.

Has crocodile farm, curio and craft shop, cafe, Art & Wine Gallery, Banana farm tours
we visited on a Sunday afternoon. The owner had a snake talk and afterwards there was a crocodile feeding. The owner was very knowledgeable and passionate about his animals and gave a lot of advice how to deal with South african snakes, we learned much about snake venoms, snake bites etc. The crocodile feeding was well worth watching, as the place is very popular it was difficult to get a good view on the crocodiles.

The San Lameer Estate is the most sought-after golf estate resort and is the only estate that has direct access onto 2 blue flag Beaches in SA! The San Lameer Estate was the very first Golfing Estate developed in South Africa!
We played golf on a very hot, humid day and took caddies. A mistake the tee to green distances were long and the course is hilly, this a course for Carts ,sadly as we prefer to walk. Course in reasonable order.

Our 5 year old daughter was up and Surfing in just a few days with Rich. This enthralled her for the rest of the holiday and was a brilliant child exhauster. As an unexpected side benefit, falling constantly in the sea, has taken her pool swimming to a whole other level. Can't wait for our younger daughter to be able to do it too.
