It's a typical, authentic Indians restaurant. With friendly service.
The menus are very tasty and good.
The restaurant haven't air conditioner, with an open kitchen. It's mean little bit smells of food.;(
And by ordering we have to wait of our meal about one hour .( between we got same free starter of house ) but it's to long time to wait..

A Restaurant with a Terrace on the River Lahn, rowers passing by. Nice view. The food was good, speciality of the house are sweet an savoury pancakes, served in the frying pan. Tasty. Not too expensive.Sehr geehrter Herr Staden, danke für Ihre gute Bewertung, bitte kommen Sie bald wieder. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Hartmund Schütt

I was sceptical when I saw the other reviews but this was really a decent Greek restaurant. Absolutely packed! Even though we were told we might have to wait 20min, we had a table within 10 minutes. Classical Greek décor, portions the size of the olymp, loads of very nicely grilled meats, a huge menu! Absolutely everything I expected, no more, no less. Including the free grappa! They even had a parking guide outside to make sure there is enough room for all cars! Will come here again!

I have eaten here twice but more recently we had our wedding lunch here due to the prior experiences (especially my wife being from Giessen) but also it has a sophisticated atmosphere underneath in the cellars of a beautiful university building. The outdoor garden is also a quiet lovely place to eat in the warmer season overlooking the botanical Gardens (oldest botanical garden in Germany).
The menu is special as is the wine menu with many local ingredients and in season food items. The staff are always professional and for example when we sat with the head chef, he was very responsive with our dinner selection for our occasion and made good recommendations as our family & friends really enjoyed the long lunch.
I recommend booking, lunches are very busy but it must be very nice here in the evening to eat among candles within the old alcoves of the cellar.
Enjoy the experience. We will return many times.

We (3 persons) had a nice lunch which included gnocci, spaghetti bolognese and a combination plate of filled pasta. All the dishes were generous in size and very tasty. The house wine went well with the food. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place for lunch with decent food, you can't go wrong here.

Unlikely with most Greek restaurants which unfortunately offer gyros and mousaka Knossos is the best ambassador of Mediterranean high Niveau dishes. We were happy and delighted to have dinner there, the place is recognized from locals as the best restaurant in Giessen. Choose what ever you like from the Menü it’s fantastic.

For those who want to serve a dinner with Italian, Gianoli is the best place.I n a warm and welcoming atmosphere, you can confidently serve Italian specialties (pizza, salads, pasta) but also some specific German. The service is impeccable, the staff do everything to make you feel better. It's a place I will return and that I recommend to all.

Very comfortable stay in an old meets new hotel. Comfortable room, great walk in shower. Plenty of hot water- be careful! Only complaint is decent amount of room noise on front of building.
Restaurant is excellent- had wild boar one night, tuna tartare is amazing, potato soup with black truffles was really good.

I've commented many times to friends this would be the best business in Giessen simply for the fact it is always busy, winter or summer. The owners/chefs do the best burger in Giessen indeed, great fries and it's all in a non-commercial atmosphere.
For those 'real' spice lovers, ask them about their hot sauce. Personally I would rate it about 6 out 10 for spiciness, but for Giessen it is decent.
The also own the cafe next door and make superb coffee there; nice atmosphere.
