The experience of boating at Saputara lake was different from other boating experiences...we took a pedal boat for 6...cost us 240 bucks total for boating in the lake for 30 minutes..and it took us around 10 minutes to get our boat even though there was a lot of crowd waiting in the evening...we pedalled around the lake...there is a small island in lake as well...there were many boats and everyone was enjoying thoroughly...if someone doesn't want to pedal they can go for rowed boat which is Rs.30 per person for 10 minutes of boating.. we took a lot of photos...chatted and had a really good time here...go here in the evening before sunset...it's beautiful during sunset..there is a tea stall nest to jetty where you get most awesome chaiye and poha and maggi...and different types of ice cream...baraf gola...and local fruits are also available nearby..you can take double riding cycle near the parking...the parking is huge...so no tension of taking own vehicle

There are 2 sunset points, 1 is at table land and other is at place where cable car takes you. My suggestion is to be at table land point because there are loads of other activities as well to enjoy sunset with your loved ones.

Situated about 3 km from the Waghai Town in Dang District, Gira Falls is a 75 ft fall that emerges from the Kapri Tributary and drops into the Ambika River. The best time to visit is in Monsoon when the fall is in its full glory. It dries up during the summer. Bathing is not allowed. There are many makeshift restaurants nearby for tea and snacks.

Been here for checking out activities available on the table point which is very close to the ropeway (the ramp post ropeway start point). While there are multiple activities for kids and adults, the approach road is non concrete and dusty; which may be a cause of concern for taking your car up. Horse rides, camel rides, bike rides are available at nominal cost of around 50/- per seat (negotiable). There is parking available at the location by paying 30/-. Paragliding and other adventure activities are also available at this location. Charges for Paragliding range between 2000-2500/- for 5-10 mins ride which is worth the money if you want to explore Saputara's scenic beauty.

We were at Saputara on Maha Shivaratri day and visited this temple during the evening aarti. It is near the lake and is well maintained. There was not much crowd so we enjoyed the aarti. It has an old Shiva Linga and there are beautiful marble idols of Ganesha & Hanuman.

This is a compact and well-maintained garden and really a Lake Garden that lives up to its name! Situated right next to the Saputara Lake, its entrance is on the opposite side of the Boat Club. It is situated close to the Nageshwar Mahadev Mandir and on the way to the Rope way and Adventure Park. On a week day, this Garden was virtually empty except for a couple on a swing. Good view of the lake, plenty of benches for sitting, pretty flowering plants, a glass house, well-manicured lawns are enough reasons for a leisurely visit.

Saputara is situated in the Dang district of Gujrat hence if you visit this museum you get to know more about the culture and past of this district which was primarily a tribal district. You will get to see their way of living, jewellery, utensils, weapons etc. You can spend 15-20 mins here. Situated in the middle of the town.

I along with my brother Shekhar climbed the Hatgad fort during our visit to Saputara last month.
It was a thrilling delightful trekking experience.
Located just 5 kms before Saputara on the Sahayadri range at an altitude of 3600 feet and rising about 600 feet from the plain below, the rocky fort looks imposing. We walked the ascent to the fort on a tar road for about 800 meters and thereafter a flight of about 200 steps carved out of the rocky mountain took us to the top of the fort through a series of gates.
It is believed that this fort was built during the reign of Shivaji in the 17th century and had a strategic importance on the trade route to Gujarat and was used as a watch tower to keep a watch on the activities on the Nasik and Gujarat side of the mountain range.
Not much remains of the fort today except for some dilapidated monuments. What is interesting is the presence of several water reservoirs on the top of the floor, the most important ones were called Gangā & Jamuna.
We began our ascent at 7 am and were on the top of the fort by 8 am. We spent about 40 mins on the top and it took us 20 mins while descending. There was not a single soul on the fort besides us. The panoramic view of the Valleys below was breathtaking. There was a cool breeze blowing and with the clouds hanging low we were literally walking in the clouds !!
This definitely is a fort worth climbing for history buffs and for those interested in nature & trekking.
