A fantastic example of early colonial times. A must. Both the church and the small adjoining museum are full of beautiful examples of baroque statuary and colonial times furnishings. Do not miss the church's wooden roof, made by local indians without using nails. The courtyard is a haven of peace and beauty.

This interesting bridge with its multitude of cables going in all directions is a great subject for photography and the adjacent walk along the river Parana is inviting for a relaxing stroll.

Even if I was not expecting something special, I was really disappointed. It was so silent over there. Due to local regulations they took the exciting sound of the slot machines out! It really destroys the atmosphere of a gambling environment...We had dinner at the adjacent restaurant and it was really poor quality. Never again.

this is a fairly large museum that has been in existance since 1952 which features local etnographics and arqueology from the Santa Fe, Santa Fe region of Argentina.
After visiting the Provincial Historical Museum, we crossed the tranquil Plaza de las Tres Cultuars to this Ethnographic Museum.
The Neo-Colonial building with a tower was built in 1952 as this museum. It's full of artifacts from the original Santa Fe location (from 1573-1660), before being moved due to river erosion. An interesting display of items from China, Europe, Portugal, Spain, and Panama is related to a chart of colonial trade route across the world.
Very interesting museum.

It's a great place to go with the kids.. a building with 3 levels, each configured to work with dirrefent materials (in my case cardboard, wood and fabric).
Different stations in each level and lots of personel to help you and guide you.
My kids (6 and 3) my wife and I had a great time... we stayed almost 3 hours playing in the different stations, and then we went to "La redonda" another building from the same movement.

After visiting the Convent of San Francisco, we crossed the tranquil Plaza de las Tres Cultuars to this free Provincial Historical Museum.
The bright whitewashed rooms with open dark wooden roofs are filled with furniture, art, photos, silver items and weapons from the colonial period. It's a worthwhile visit.

This is the right place to enjoy art (painting and sculpture) at a peaceful setting. The permanent collection is quite good. Special Exhibitions are usually quite nice too.

It's a nice little plaza surrounded by bars and restaurants, but unfortunately it is dwarfed by the huge flag monument between the plaza and the river. It's a good place to stop and rest in the sun on your way to the river.
