A very nice and comfortable bungalow, clean.
It would be good to have more explanations by check in, and food can be improved more choice.
We have done a trekking/birdwatching in the early morning, what was very nice, but the guide walked too fast for my mom, without looking for birds. He showed several spiders and other things what was interesting.
The safari was great, we've seen a lot of different animals, a lot of Indian gaur, elephants, sambar, spotted deer, monkeys, some nice birds.

Kindly have a lance at the Photos included, to have an over-all feel....!!!)
NOTE:
Virgin Valley is the Gift of Kunthipuzha River, which flows through the Silent Valley National Park (Kunthipuzha is one of the tributaries of the river Thuthapuzha, which ends in Bharathapuzha). This river is is named after Kunthi Devi (the mother of Pandavas) - referring to the story of bathing of her, in this river.
Since the river starts from SILENT VALLEY - UN TOUCHED NATURE - hence the name VIRGIN VALLEY!

Seethargundu is located in Palakkad district few kilometers away from the nelliyampathy hills. It's one of the beautiful natural attraction in kerala. We can reach there by car after paying the entry fee at a check post few kilometers before the destination. Parking space, refreshment and restrooms are available at the entry. It's one of the rushy places in nelliyampathy especially on weekends and holidays. It's a very deep cliff and the tree which is located in the side of the cliff is an attraction. Beware of the mischievous monkeys which will grab all the food packets you are holding on reaching there. If lucky you can see some wild animals which come near to the cliff. Lots of awesome photo locations are available here and it's a must watch place for all the nature lovers here.

Nelliyampathy hills

Reviewed By Joe J

We stayed from 29th September 2017 to 2nd September 2017
My father, my wife, my son and I made the trip to Nelliyampathy Hills from Chennai and stayed in Kailas Plantations – two Deluxe Suites with balcony. The suites are sandwiched between dense forest on one side and coffee plantations on the other. They are well maintained, neat and comfortable.
The route to Kailas Plantations: From Palakad, take the road indicated by Google Maps to Kaikatty. At the Kaikaty junction take the left hand side road leading to Pulayampara. From this junction it is around 2.3kms to pulayampara. Take a right turn near the bus waiting shelter at pulayampara junction towards Kottengadu division of CHANDRAMALAI ESTATE. This is the same road leading to Cissilia resort. Kottengadu is around 3kms from Pulayampara. Just before the Temple at Kottengadu take the road towards the left and after travelling 800 mtrs on this road take a right turn onto a mud road through the tea estate. After travelling 200mtrs on this mud road take a left turn and in 100mtrs you will reach the gate of KAILAS PLANTATIONS. Drive through this road to reach the guest house.
The route is very good up to Palakad, good up to Pulayampara, reasonably OK up to Kottengadu and the last 500 Mtrs will be a bumpy ride. But overall a good travel experience.
The Manager of Kailas Plantations is very informative and goes out of the way to help you reach the guest house comfortably. He was also very accommodating when we rescheduled the trip twice due to weather and personal reasons.
The manager at the guest house, Mr. Renjan is a very helpful person and is very pleasant to interact with. He took us on a wonderful Trekking Trip up a steep hill which is inside the plantations. We were able to sight wild Goats, flying squirrels, Sambar Deer, etc. The scenic beauty at the top of the trek cannot be expressed in words. It needs to be experienced.
They provide veg and non-veg food in the guest house. It is advisable to opt for the food provided. All the three days we had our food in the plantations. The food is of very good quality and the spread is too good. They also provide special dishes on request. But the need for special dishes is highly remote because of the heavy food they provide. The credit for the food and the pleasant way it is served, always with a smile goes to Mr.clinty and Mr.Cleetus. The dishes, both veg and non-veg taste so good.
We also sighted two Elephants at a view point which is a few kilometers from the plantations.
Overall, it was a very comfortable, pleasant and an enjoyable trip.
One thing to keep in mind is, only BSNL, Cellone network is available beyond Kaikatti (mostly over the entire Hill). So if you do not have a BSNL Cellone connection, you will be cut-off from the world almost from the minute you start your climb up the Hill. However, at the guest house, the manager, Mr.Renjan always helps out with his cell in case we need to contact anyone urgently.
We thank Mr.Renjan, Mr.Clinty and Mr.Cleetus for taking extra care of my father who is 85 years old. They took extra effort to cater to his needs whenever required. My father felt so homely in their company.
We strongly recommend this place for anyone who likes to get away from the drudgery of work and blend with nature.
