This in- and outdoor water park offers a wide variety of activities to the entire family. There are various glides (incl. wipe out) and baths. There is a wave pool inside and a very beautiful bath outside. There is a section for 16+ where you can relax in a sauna, steam room or whirlpool. You can also enjoy swimming laps. There is also a restaurant with good quality food. Recommend to go early in the morning (as of 10:00 am) to have a few calm hours - it can be busy at times in the afternoon. Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended.

A unique collection of sound art installations in open air. Klankenbos is always open and free of charge for individuals and groups. In Klankenbos guided tours are possible as well. Musica also organizes various activities, for individuals, families, groups and schools, in and around the forest.
Though the idea of connecting art and the sound of a forest must have resulted in a tremendous successful project at first, the overall impression is a rather disappointing one as several of the installations are partly or fully out of order. Still, some of the installations are still doing what they are supposed to, which is leaving you wondering. So, just go there, but lower your expections and see what you'll get. The forest is rather small, but the discovery of the 15 or so installation takes an enjoyable hour or so. Parking in the front. Admission is free. Free maps with explanation available on several locations within the park/forest.

We enjoyed a nice afternoon at the Lommel Sahara which is situated in the province of Limburg (Belgium) near the Dutch border.
The area consists of an extensive coniferous forest mixed with a desert landscape and lake. The arid and sandy landscape came about as a result of gases emanating from a former zinc factory located there nearly 80 years ago. The lake is the result of sand mining. Forests were planted around the area to prevent further expansion. We took the "orange" route which led us past a viewing tower that was opened in 2014. After many stairs and steps we climbed 30 meters to enjoy some stunning views over the area.

This museum provides a nice journey through time, from ancient fossils to stone and bronze age tools to tools for catching eels to weapons and uniforms used in the world wars. Still, the museum is quite similar to other local history museums, and maybe an 'average' rating would be more appropriate. A few things made me rate it a little higher. One was the Minenwerfer, a weapon I haven't seen in any other museum so far. The other was the display of different bronze (?) age axes beside each other, allowing to see the development of axes. I believe I only saw such a nice display in the German place of Herne. There is also room for improvement. Some sculptures from a Roman soldier's bag are described as idols. I think it should be possible to figure out what specific gods they represent. The location in the Simonshuis, an old 'Teutenhuis', is very appropriate.

As a skier I thought that I wouldn't enjoy it, however it was quite nice pootling down the slope. I appreciate that it wasn't at all challenging but children ski and my youngest I know really enjoyed the slope as it helped her increase her confidence.
Our friends tried the lessons and there was some success and some not.
I was advised that if you are a skier then the evenings are a good time to go, and the later on in the week you go then the slope gets more crowded.

You immediately get curious due to the great guide, who's enthusiasm is so overwhelming that you just want to know more.
A nice overview of brewing technology through the ages, with lot of historic material collected from different Breweries.
As always you can taste some beers at the end of the tour.

Echt een supertoffe escape room.
Zeer goed in elkaar gestoken.
