Having check out from Viva Hotel, the way to Central Kava, we stopped by at Monumen Simpang Lima Gumul, my impression was just ordinary place, crowded for which many people took picture and one tourism destination weaknesses is cleanliness, the place is dirty and public toilet did not work well, smell, OMG. Thats our not good experience in Kediri. Thank you

We park our car in the last sign parking. After its up to you, you can just walk until the top of volcano or take ojek (motor cycle ride). It's very beautiful panoramic view, but when we visit the other day still can see the effect of the eruption so not greenish and the road are not in good condition. And some tracking part are still close. But still can See the beautifulness of the souronding. We meet governor people's take a look the condition of the road, they said gonna make new road so the visitor are save. Overall we enjoying our trip.

As an international tourist, I really enjoyed this place.
It's an outdoor Catholic Church based in a cave that boasts the properties of Lourdes- that the natural Springs that seep through the rocks have healing properties.
It's a very holy place, and it's very peaceful and tranquil. I went closer to the end time, so around dusk, when all the vendors were slowing down and the heat of the day had lessened. This gave the place a very eerie atmosphere, especially as it darkened through the trees and the candles in the cave around the Virgin Mary were lit. The Fountains to taste the healing waters were flowing and the people who go there are less like tourists, and more like pilgrims. Apparently once a month there's a cross-denominational and interfaith mass held, which really demonstrated to me just how this catholic church can unite through a sense of global peace and spirituality.
I loved it

You wouldn't know it to look at it today, but Kediri is an ancient city. During the tenth and eleventh centuries, its keraton (palace) was the most powerful on the island of Java. These days it is known mostly for its association with the tobacco industry, and it is tobacco money which makes this a more prosperous than usual town. Indonesians are more likely to think of tobacco warehouses than history if you mention the name Kediri today. But the town does have a sprinkling of older buildings and perhaps the oldest in town itself is this temple, set on the banks of the Brantas River.
When we visited on a Saturday evening, there was some kind of Chinese puppet show going on in the courtyard. This considerably added to the 'old Asia' atmosphere. But this three hundred year old Chinese temple has come down to the present day without many unappealing additions, making it one of the better ones we have seen on the island. There is plenty of red-and-gold decorative wood carving and ornamentation, which would make this an attractive destination for photographers. The river views are a plus, even if the Brantas is dark brown.

Kediri is actually an ancient city, much older than Jakarta or even Surabaya. It was the centre of an ancient Javanese kingdom as far back as the 9th century and played a big role in the history of the world's most populous island. While quite a bit remains of the city's colonial heritage, for ancient history the best you can do is this small meditational cave, located about 3 kilometres from the centre of Kediri (just hop in a becak.) Inside the cave are some Buddhist carvings from the 9th century. There is a small on-site museum alongside. It is a modest site but lovers of history might enjoy it.

The Mosque are in the middle of the pare City. Easy to reach, many people stop for pray. And If you walk around 200 meters you will see kilisuci garden, it's not big garden but still you can relaxing there.

Consists of Excelso, Mokko Factory (donuts), Solaria, Fantasia Game Center, Matahari Department store, Hypermart, Payless (shoes), a food court and a few more tenants.
They say it's the best mall in town, although you can't compare it with larger cities' malls, this is pretty decent if you're looking for indoor attractions.
