The coastal village of Kamari features the beaches and ruins that are typical of Greek islands, but also boasts unusual attractions like an open-air cinema. Stray from the black pebble shores and head up to the site of Ancient Thira, where the stone remains of houses, markets, baths and temples will impress you with their size and structure. Sip local vintages at the Gaia Winery, then relax at an outdoor café as you watch the sun sleepily drop below the horizon, washing the sky with warm Aegean light.

Artemis Karamolegos Winery combines a great respect for Santorini’s winemaking traditions with a modern outlook and constant investment in our vineyards and in wine making equipment. This makes it of the most dynamic and fastest-growing wineries in Santorini. It combines wine tasting with a meal or diner at Aroma Avlis Food & Wine restaurant, which is just next door. Artemis Karamolegos Winery produces 11 labels and has already won many prestigious awards in both domestic and international competitions. Among them the Judges’ Selection for Greece White for Santorini 2016 in the TEXSOM IWA 2017 competition, Gold and Silver awards in competitions such as Mundus Vini, Decanter and the Thessaloniki International Wine and Spirits Competition. The winery also participates in major international Exhibitions such as ProWein. It distributes its wines throughout Greece through Vinalia and also exports to major markets such as America, Canada, Germany, Nederland, Belgium, Japan, Cyprus.
So definitely a recommendation.
It's very close to the airport and easy to find.
There are two options for tasting and also some food options.
The wine is very well explained like in other wineries too. Even the pairing with the food.
When the lady recognised that i am not just a drinking tourist but really interested in wine she turned out very empathic and really knowledgeable. After, she even recommended other smaller wineries on the island which i think is very nice.
Thanks for the nice wine chat!

The SantoTour company was created by tour guides with experience that decided to offer their services directly to the guests of Santorini. After working for several years all over Greece, in 2014 we decided to settle down on beautiful Santorini. We gained valuable experience in the field of tourism over the past years, working mainly on excursions in Santorini during summer and during winter we continued offering our services. After that, we decided to focus on the tailor made tours and excursions and the excellent service.
Amazing people especially the owner Kostas and our tour guide Nikolas. We had an AWESOME time on our first day, we got to see the sights in Oia, the Black Beach, and the "secret" spot that only Nikolas knows!. I would recommend this company to my friends who plans to visit Santorini. If given the opportunity to visit Santorini again, I would call them in a heartbeat! They treated us like friends, not as customers! The hospitality extended all the way to Greek Night. We couldn't ask for more! Santotour ROCKS!

Santorini Dive Center has the best setup with easy and quick access to all the dive sites around the Caldera and the Volcanoes. The Dive Station is located at Caldera Beach, a small remote beach with traditional caves below the cliffs of Akrotiri village nearby the ruins of the ancient city overlooking the Volcanoes. Our Minibuses will transfer you there from your hotel. The station offers an easy and quick access to all the great volcanic dive spots because all of them are few minutes away. The divers can board from the small pier on the 9m spacious fibreglass fast diveboat able to carry 20 persons in order to start their dive trip. We have an office also in Perissa, at the southeast part of the island and is located in Perissa Camping in front of the famous Black Sand Beach, between the Camping's Beach Bar and Yazz bar.
I found Santorini Dive Center on Trip Advisor and because of all the good reviews I signed up for the beginners class. I had previously taken a SNUBA class. That is when the air tanks stay on a raft on top of the water and the participants used the mouth piece and a long breathing hose to breath under water. I thought that if I could do that than how much harder would it be to learn to SCUBA dive. Well with the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Santorini Dive Center it was easy. Our instructor(Wendy) taught us the basics and introduced us to the equipment (20 minutes) and then it was into the water with the other instructors who lead us every step of the way. It was a very enjoyable for lesson and I plan on taking other classes and become certified when we get home next year. Thanks to all the employees who made this possible for me. One more item checked off my 'bucket list'.

An absolutely beautiful Monastery at the top of the hill. The hill is huge but it is absolutely worth the quad bike ride up. It can be cold when windy though. A gorgeous gift shop with some absolute gems in it. The Monastery itself is stunning, Well worth a visit

Aegean Divers is a Dive Center and Dive Shop. The only one diving center in Santorini who can offers you 38 different diving spots. We offer individual and group dive packages, private scuba diving for divers or non divers, try scuba (1 dive) or discover scuba diving (2 dives) for beginners, boat dives or shore dives for certified divers, SSI certification courses up to Divemaster level and various specialized diver courses. Morning and afternoon programs.
I was picked up at the bus station by Aegean Divers for my two tank dive. We headed back to the dive shop to load up the gear and meet the team. I was the only diver scheduled for the day, and I was told that they would not use boats due to the cost plus it was the start of the season, so we did two shore dives. There were other dive operators there, and it was the same situation, shore dives for a couple of tourist divers. It was nice to have the Dive Master to myself, and he was really good, and had safety in mind throughout the dive. The water was cold, it was only 18 C, however the air temperature was hot at around 26 C, so suiting up in a 5mm wet suit and walking along the beach with a tank on was a bit of a concern for overheating. I was disappointed with both dives, as they were non-interesting, as there wasn’t much coral or fish to see. The surface interval was roughly a 45 minute break with bottled water and a welfare Sandwich. At the end we headed back to the dive center, where they had cold showers to rinse off with. Upon leaving, I was given a gift of an Aegean Divers t-shirt, which I thought was a nice touch.

Whether you are a sports fanatic or just somebody who loves being outside in the nature get ready to enjoy one of the best adventures Santorini has to offer. Our guided tours on electric bicycles give you an opportunity not only to keep yourself active but to have fun while exploring one of the most beautiful of all Greek Islands. With our Ebikes you don’t have to worry about being exhausted, the electric motor gives you the ability to control how hard you work and is there to pick up the slack if you need to get up a difficult hill. You can choose to pedal all out without the motor, or you can just glide along without any effort as the electric motor does all the work. The amount of exercise and intensity is entirely up to you.
This was an unbelievably memorable day. My husband and I ended up riding 21 miles around the entire south end of Santorini, enjoying every second of the tour. Vasillis and katarina added so much knowledge to our tour too, teaching us about what we were seeing, about the landscape and villages, and enriched our experience tenfold. Fun fact guys: we went back to the power bar bakery the next day and stocked up on more! thank you a million times over.

This 11th century BC Dorian settlement includes remains from Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods.
The trip up the switchbacks is hair-raising, to say the least. We took our tiny rental car up the mountainside, and my children in back were incredibly nervous and clutching each other!! Thankfully, we only encountered one car on the way up and that was stressful enough!! Be sure to take heed of the hours of "operation": 8 - 2:45. We got there at 2:30 and were denied entry. That just gave us an incentive to go back the next morning (yes, we are gluttons for punishment on crazy cliff-side roads). This time, no traffic coming down, and none going up as we were exiting.
To see the ruins properly, allow an hour - not including your drive up. (Yes, I was skeptical, but to truly take it all in and see it at a reasonable pace, that's exactly what it was - and we were not clock-watching.) As other reviewers have stated, it was insanely windy and the temps were quite brisk, being the end of December. (Incredibly, though, on our first attempt, we had warm weather with practically zero winds!)
I find this place spectacular. It was mind-boggling as to how it was constructed, and how people actually existed up there. Amazing! Out of the entire site, the theater stood out to me the most.

A friend and myself visited Santorini in late October 2017 and part of our trip involved the half day snorkelling experience with the Mediterranean Dive Club.
The staff were friendly and accommodating from the start, in regards to the enquiry process, right through to the end of the trip and I could not flaw their professionalism throughout.
Alongside the snorkelling the staff gave a history of the island in regards to the development of the coastal landscape and seascape we got to view whilst out in the water and were very happy to discuss recommendations for things to see and do for the duration of our stay.
We had a wonderful time and I would definitely do it again!
