We went after a day on the Mesa Pigadia beach. The road down to the beach and the taverna is a bit of a dirt track so take care. Lovely little beach and wonderful taverna with beautiful views. The taverna has a lovely ambiance, nicely decorated and clean surroundings. Friendly welcoming staff, really helpful in helping us chose our food. I'm vegetarian and I had plenty of choice, highly recommended the local made Chloro cheese baked and served with Santorini tomato sauce, gorgeous. They brought us complementary Greek yogurt with cinnamon and blackberries at the end of our meal and it was divine ! All food lovely and fresh and well presented. Perfect taverna in a perfect beach location. Highly recommended.

I have just had a marvellous simple Greek lunch in Taverna Glaros. The restaurant and especially the toilets were spotless and the staff were charming. The terrible reviews are clearly fake. Tripadvisor take note. English and Scottish people don’t speak like that and check out their numbers of reviews.

Aoelos Was the first place we stopped in Santorini for Mythos and Greek salad overlooking the Caldera. Salome and her family gave us such a warm welcome that we returned every day! . They introduced us to amazing local dishes from Santorini including tomato croquettes and fava beans which were out of this world and told us interesting things about the island. They have a real passion for food and service and they really looked after us. Five stars without hesitation! Oh and go for the lobster spaghetti and Greek
Carbonara with a glass of Asyrtykos. It was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Really excellent.

we found the place by accident wandering around...
taverna doesn't look spectacular, the design is rather rural, not making very much impression. we had the terace closed due to the wind (probably with the terace open it could look better
anyway, when the tasted the food everything change - we all been happy with our plates
I recommend it for fish food they have

Wonderful little taverna right by the sea, great views, great service. We were staying in Akrotiri and went there for our last dinner, deeply regretted not going sooner. The sealed remezzo was delicious! Best quality-price ratio in all Akrotiri for sure.

Nice food and lovely owners. Daughter was our waitress and was lovely. We went for dinner in the evening and it was very quiet but maybe a bit too quiet as there were 5 tables eating but no one was talking. Maybe a little bit of background music to help the atmosphere? Other than that it was lovely and very friendly.

Santorini... Akrotiri beach... By the sea, lies for many years a small, traditional cave, build by Uncle Nikolas with his own hands when he was young. Made with lots of love and passion, the cave offered a kind of shelter to himself and his little boat. Always by his side was his wife, Aunt Efstathia, whom her "magical" cuisine made everybody crazy. Unforgettable Spiros Marinatos, headmaster of the excavation project in the archaeological place in Akrotiri, suggested to Uncle Nicolas to alter this shelter in a small tavern, for the hungry workmen of the excavation, offering them traditional and delicious treats such as tomatoballs, fava, "chloro" cheese, spaghetti with sauce and plenty of fresh fish. Over the years, the cave grew fast known to the visitors of the island, since after their visit at the excavation they used to direct to the beach to taste Aunt Efstathias' popular snacks and the rich in taste and spice wine of Uncle Nicolas. In 1981, the "Cave of Nicolas" went on to their daughter, Margarita, who had learnt the art of cooking from Mr Marinatos wife. Her love for traditional cuisine and local products, that herself and her husband, Nicolas grow, gave her a Gourmet Prize, as the best traditional tavern for 2007-2008 in Santorini.
The location couldn't be better, waves crashing on the sidewalk outside. Rustic setting. We had house wine, bread and tzatziki, tomato balls and chicken souvlaki. It was all delicious. You have to order the tomato balls, a Santorini specialty. A great way to start our stay in Santorini.

Incredible location hidden between the streets of the medieval castle of Emborio. It is incredible and i can provide you a lot of pictures about it
The cutest cafe! Hidden away in the small streets of Emporio, this cafe has so much charm its hard to resist. The owners, Georgia and Vassillis are the friendliest cafe owners I met here.
The baklava is just heavenly, especially with the ice cream. Frappe is always good in Santorini and the ones I had here top the charts!!
A little gem!

Best restaurant in Santorini, views, wonderful food, friendly service. Situated in peaceful south of Island, this gem is great for couples, meal by candle light, overlooking Caldera. I love the real slate plates, candles, comfortable chairs. Staff friendly but efficient. House wine is amazing for the price.
