Beck Theatre

A 600 seat theatre which hosts an exciting range of dance, drama, comedy, music and family shows (including a stunning pantomime).

Reviewed By davefking1954 - London, United Kingdom

Disappointed with the show but that's no reflection on the theatre.
Good parking facilities and easy to get to. Recommend parking near the exit as getting out after the show is a joke due to the "pretty" layout. It's not a million mile walk, even for those less mobile.
Once inside, plenty of tables for four, usually reserved, and usually with only two people sat at them meaning that the rest of the audience stand around the foyer like wallflowers with nowhere to put their drinks, coffees or snacks. Big, big minus. It's not as if they haven't the room for a few "poseur" bar tables or even shelves in appropriate places.
Doesn't matter where you sit you are always going to have a tremendous view, and nine times out of ten fairly priced. Looking a bit tired now and we went away with numb bums so maybe the seats could do with re-stuffing. Also, leg room a bit tight which also affects moving along the rows on exit and entry.
Drinks are a bit limited and it's worth pre-ordering interval drinks online (which also offers a discount. My interval drink didn't taste anything like the pre show drink however (Kronenbourg ).
All over, a nice little theatre, but, room for improvement

Pegasus Health Spa

Welcome to a serene urban retreat. Put yourself entirely in our care and let us put time on hold. Lose yourself in the calm of our relaxation room. Emerge indulged, energised and assured of lasting results

Reviewed By Gemma E - London, United Kingdom

Having visited before, I was expecting a nice experience. How wrong I was. I've given it 2 stars only because the staff were lovely!
This was supposed to be our anniversary treat.....
Upon arrival we were told that the relaxation room was closed for renovation but there were seats in the plunge pool area. This wasn't mentioned when we booked the week prior.
When we walked into the spa area, there were 2 small uncomfortable seats jammed next to the water cooler, nothing like the loungers in the relaxation room.
Additionally, the shower in that area was out of service so we had to keep going back into our changing rooms to shower for the sauna/steam/plunge pool.
In the course of about 15 minutes, at least 6 different builders walked through the area talking loudly and slamming the door into the 'relaxation room' where they were working. The work noises continued throughout our visit.
At one point we couldn't use the steam room as a cleaner was using it to fill up their mop bucket - whilst leaving the door open meaning it couldn't be used for another 10 minutes whilst it steamed up again.
Another 'highlight' was the water cooler leaking everywhere, a man coming to fix it and putting his tools all over the two seats, leaving us stood in the middle of the room with nowhere to sit.
The massage was nice enough and we were walked up to our afternoon tea.
The afternoon tea was average, with the scones being a little dry.
All in all, NOT recommended. I was happy to revisit after my last visit despite the lack of swimming pool as the relaxation room was a good alternative. Without it, this was a nightmare.

Came across by accident on line so decided to visit. £30 pp entry but only £10 via Groupon. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, loads of exhibits - love the Batman cars. Lots of huge American cars, motorbikes, tractors, Ford Anglias lol, F1 etc. Nice to walk around - good 50s-60s collection - with a Jukebox from that era where you can change the music. Still a bit of a work in progress regarding info signs for some of the vehicles but great way to spend a lazy hour or two and follow with a coffee and donut in the cafe. Visit recommended!

Sunday general Market, every Sunday. Over 200 stalls, Busy and vibrant with a lot of variety. 8.00am till 3.00pm

Reviewed By RWandSW - Greater London, United Kingdom

Located in Southall opposite the Bulls Bridge Tesco’s, Western International Market is a wholesale market with mostly fruit and vegetable importers; on Sundays, there a market open from 8am to 3pm with parking available on-site.
There are a lot of stalls (more than the standard Sunday market) with a wide variety of items for sale – clothing (for all), under-garments/wear, accessories, leather bags and accessories, hardware and machinery, mobile phones and accessories, electronics, Arabic fragrances, smoking accessories (e-cigarettes and shisha pipes), snacks (e.g. nuts, olives), homeware and I have probably missed some out too.
There are several food stalls – traditional burgers and hotdogs, doughnuts, south-Asian food like sheesh kebabs and chicken tikka in fresh naan.
If you are purchasing branded clothing then do check the items properly because some Sunday market traders do sell fake garments and accessories.

We booked on line and they should have contacted us to confirm, but they did not. On the day I had to call them, expensive as I was on a non UK cell phone, I was left on hold for a long time. There was a baby crying all the time in the background. I was then told that all was OK and we would get a text message about half an hour before the pick up. No text message cam. I called again, they said they had not sent the text as I had a Spanish cell phone, they knew that when I had booked weeks before. They said the d¡car would be there in a few minutes. After half an hour waiting in the cold and another call and still no car we had to catch a black cab to Heathrow that cost us a fortune. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE
