I went to the branch across from Earl's Court tube station.I liked the tuna Sandwich because the ingredients and the bread, especially, were freshly made. Also, tasted their pasties; loved the vegetable and beef one most. The crust also just came out of the oven. Most of all, get a bread pudding. Oh, yummy. The items were also reasonably priced. A healthy and tasty alternative to McDonald's or Burger King, also across the street.

This place was quite a distance from the bustling station area but we were glad to be there for lunch. We were the only people for the entire afternoon so it was a bit of a wait having the chef prepare food for us only.
We had 3 curries; a lamb vindoloo which got us hot and sweaty from the chilli, a vegetable korma which was slightly sweeter than I hoped for and a paneer tikka masala dish choc a bloc with cheese slices. 2 thin slices of naan were too much for us because we lapped up all the curry sauce which could jolly well be a meal by itself. All in all, the food was enjoyable.
I did not give it 5 stars because the one of the sauces tasted like Thai chilli sauce which I thought was a cheat.Staff was friendly though service was slow.
I was heartened to know they also do a takeaway which meant I can have the same meal in the warm comfort of my hotel room. All I needed was to order my meal online or by phone and it will get delivered to the hotel. Neat!

There are a few new restaurants in Southall Broadway and we selected this fairly randomly partly based on decor. The restaurant was not very busy when we walked in but soon filled up.
We were greeted and seated hospitably and our waiter was patient, accommodating and friendly and helpful. These are exactly the kinds of qualities one wants when eating out but sadly are all too infrequent. It is refreshing to see these in this place.
Our waiter helped us select the dishes, and even told us when we may be ordering too much.
For the starters, the chapli kabab was excellent. The shish kabab was also good, the chicken kabab was a little dry though
The mains were good, with my favourite being the aloo saag. Absolutely delicious. There was a little too much oil in the other chicken dish we had though.
The falooda was not bad but could have been better kulfi, which seemed it had been made with skimmed milk.
Overall, though, I really enjoyed our meal and I would definitely recommend this. It's one of the best Pakistani restaurants out there (contrast this with my Lahore Karahi review).

My aunt visited from overseas so we arranged a family dinner 8 booked. Nice venue and the menu looked good but then as we ordered were told sorry we have a VIP guest in the private function room so the chef can’t prepare certain items on the menu! Very disappointed- some dishes were nice others quite oily and spicy. So not great and we wouldn’t go again.

Any time I have a craving for fish and chips I make sure codfather is my choice of destination. I usually call to make my order and they remember your name and usual order, adds a nice touch. Very friendly service and always fresh, with good quality ingredients. Ohh and its halal too if you fancy sausage!

Mehfil is an award-winning, critically acclaimed restaurant established in 2003, since then it is a most sought after fine dining destination for many. It has brought a million smiles by serving authentic north Indian cuisine with warm hospitality. Delightful aroma and outstanding flavours of our food are created by an age-old traditional method using only the freshest and finest ingredients.
I've been to Mehfil several times, but not for a while. My memory was of one of the classier Southall Indian restaurants in terms of service and ambience, but that the food was somewhat overpriced for what it was. This time I was with a mix of veggie and meat-eating friends - mostly of Indian origin themselves - and we all found the food superb, especially the veggie options. The veggie platter for starters included kebabs and other items that looked like meat and tasted just as good, We had a mix of dishes for mains, and these were excellent too, especially the naan and the Malai Kofta (veggie 'meat'balls) and Bhindi ki Sabji (okra stir-fry). It is pricey compared to most Southall restaurants but not by general London standards, and great value for a special occasion.

Let’s start at the beginning. Amazing pubs have amazing landlords. This is no exception. Derek leads his friendly professional team, keeps his beers with the love they deserve and his clientele also!
It’s the oldest Fullers Pub in the UK. Beautiful low ceilings, charming alcoves and a larger room for bigger parties. Seats at the bar a refreshing and welcoming change ensuring all are able to engage in conversation. Open fires regularly stocked with huge wooden logs by Terry enhance the charm further on colder evenings.
Its clientele are the perfect mix of all, nationality, race, age and sex are equally as diverse as the selection of beers, wines and spirits!
Bartek, runs the kitchen with a passion that is represented in his food. Excellent food is served Tuesday to Saturday 12-3pm then 6pm to 10pm with a regularly changing specials board on top of the British classics. Sunday roasts (pictured below from this visit) are served from 12 noon to 4pm though there popularity won’t always mean at 3.50pm you are guaranteed the joys! Though they are brilliant enough to ensure other options will be made available as they hate to disappoint.
Handsome portion size all round will be found and lovely starters and nibbles available for those for a snack. Desserts won’t let you down but rarely is their room!
The Plough plays a large part in supporting of the local community. It also has occasional bands and musicians which are of good quality and usually advertised in advance. Disabled toilets (a rarity in premises of this age are available allowing full wheelchair access around the pub - note enter premise from side if required).
It’s also has a charming rear garden, but we will have to wait a few winter months before it will be used again!
As my title says, one of, if not, the UK’s finest public houses.....
