Do not miss visiting this fabulous garden!!! Oh my goodness..even if you are not a plant person, this garden will excite you! It is packed full of the most amazing collection of beautiful plants, little intriguing pathways, Fountains, interesting fun sculptural pieces and all on a hillside, so plenty of steps and twisty turny pathways and every step demands you look at another amazing leaf shape, or colourful flower or shadow cast by overlapping shapes....a photographers paradise!! And then, there is a tea room, offering Fortnum and Mason tea!!! At very reasonable prices!! Do go into the music room..we were treated to a practice recital, piano and violin and it was a few moments of reflective calm! Such an amazing garden....wonderful!

This little church is so modest compared to the magnificent churches we visited on Ischia and nearby. But it's lovely, so quiet and peaceful. As for the setting, it's just unique. If you are lucky you will see it dressed in white flowers for a wealthy wedding. It featured in the film Avanti one of my favourites so it had a special meaning.

This year, among the highlights of new openings in Ischia, we recommend an original garden worth visiting. Open only a few days a week, the garden offers a fascinating walk through a variety of exotic and local vegetation. On display, among water streams, is an impressive collection of cacti and other plants that look like natural sculptures - a collection gathered over 30 years which is a must see for any any garden fan.
If you are in Ischia you must visit this place where you can find a wonderfull selection of cactus and others plants. You can test a cocktail non alcoolic that is Made with natural products, fruits juce and cactus juce, the tomato and cactus pasta is very good.

Visited here on three occasions, very friendly. They also manage the beds and umbrellas for this section of the beach which was very reasonable at €10 for 2 beds and 1 umbrella, not sure if prices go up in height of season.. Also free wifi. Very clean toilets as well..

It is well worth the walk. the best is, take the garden tour, then walk along the the Beach from the Garden. Stop to have lunch along the beach and continue back to Forino. Great stuff.

Worth popping into this beautiful basilica, the marble work is stunning and check out a small door to the right just off the front entrance, a secret room - is it a courthouse or an assemble point, very interesting but no one around to ask.

Lovely beach with nice, clear water. Very crowded though in the touristy season, however you can still always find a spot. There is a little walk down the stairs from the car park to the beach. There is no shade either, so make sure to bring an umbrella!

This is a lovely place for a moments reflection in a peaceful area. The organ is lovely. The decoration is much simpler than many and the atmosphere is calm and cool.

We walked by foot up to Santa Maria al Monte from Citara. It took about one hour one way, during the walk you will have time to enjoy the beautiful landscape. The small white church is located at the end of the road. The church was unfortunately closed when we visited. A local told us that it is only open a certain week each year.
From here it is also possible to walk to the peak of Monte Epomeo, we didn't do that since we visited Monte Epomeo earlier that week.

This beach is great. It's the nicest beach of the island, is clean, has soft sand rather than the hard pebbly sand on other Beaches. The water is very flat and shallow which makes it perfect for swimming and its not too crowded.
