Benedicts is run by chef owner Richard Bainbridge, who has won Great British Menu 2016 with 2 Courses. Benedicts is a modern interpretation of a neighbourhood restaurant, with classic values of hospitality and food with a strong local focus on ingredients and traditional techniques with a delicate modern touch.
We went for our Son's 16th birthday and was not disappointed by any means. The food was stunning, the staff were attentive but not in your face. I am currently doing the rounds of Great British Menu Chefs and Richard was on my list, he even came up from the kitchen to talk to us, which I was a bit in ore of, but what a lovely, down to earth man he is, Well done - we are booked back in for 19 May. Very impressed.

Tripadvisor reviews were spot on, it is a fantastic fish and seafood restaurant. On a freezing cold Tuesday evening you don't expect to see restaurants busy, so the fact that this one was with the majority of the diners being regulars shows just how good it is. As soon as we walked in I saw a giant blackboard with the desserts on it, I decided I would have to be careful in how big my main course was so that I had room for a dessert! We had a very warm welcome and were shown to a table near the back of the restaurant - excellent for people watching! The decor is light and modern with gorgeous polished floorboards. There is also some really good artwork on the walls. Another giant blackboard made an appearance, this had the starters and mains on it. The waitress pulls out a chair and stands the board on it and then gives you time to decide. The choice was excellent, so much so that I had a starter, something I haven't done for years! Both my husband and I chose the Queen Scallops with a sauce verde. There were four very large scallops which were cooked perfectly and the sauce was good too. The decision on the main course was easier as we both love skate, a fish rarely found on menus and often hard to get in shops. The skate came with capers, fresh vegetables and potatoes. As I had had a starter and I don't like capers I asked for the fish just on it's own - just as well as it was on the large side with plenty of "meat" on each side, so it was quite filling. Again it was superbly cooked. My husband had his skate with everything, the potatoes that night were chips, from what we gathered from other diners the potatoes vary from night to night. The vegetables were imaginative, carrots that had been thinly sliced on a mandolin, kale and puréed turnips. Then came the dessert board, a great selection including homemade ice-cream. I did read it through but chose the dish that I had spotted when we arrived - white chocolate cheesecake with strawberry ice-cream. It was gorgeous, a real treat, I could taste the white chocolate that had been used, too many chefs either buy cheesecakes in and try and pass it off as there own but the taste of synthetic flavouring always lets it down. My husband had the Belgian chocolate with salted caramel pot and peanut butter ice-cream, he thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a fantastic meal in a lovely restaurant with great staff. Many of the diners went round to chat with Abbie, the chef who they clearly knew well.

A Fine old watermill where Colmans Mustard began in 1814 now fully renovated into a Contemporary Fine Dining Restaurant.
We decided not to go out on Valentine's evening, but to wait & spoil ourselves on the weekend.
We were given 3 menu's to choose from, lunch, a la carte or the taster menu. My partner had never experienced a taster menu so this is what we went for. It was outstanding.
The restaurant was quite quiet, but we still had an amazing time, and there was a nice ambiance. Service very attentive, genuine & sincere. Both the waitress & waiter were able to answer all our food & wine questions.
The food & wine was beautifully paired together. A wonderful Valentine's lunch. We cant wait to go back to this restaurant which is literally on our doorstep.

The Grosvenor Fish Bar is a long established traditional fish and chip shop, with a twist. Serving the usual chip shop fare, plus an interesting selection of our own sandwiches and wraps including sea bass, mackerel, tuna and rock salmon. We have Seating downstairs for up to 50 - eat in / take away same price. Also we have a set menu for party bookings please enquire by email thank you. Opening hours mon-sat 11 am - 7.30 Ish (later for private parties)
My son took us for lunch, and made a beeline for the Grosvenor. He said we could sit inside, but it looked full to me. He then led us down a steep staircase into the stygian gloom of several inter - connecting rooms that appeared to have domed ceilings and metre - thick walls.
We located, almost entirely by feel, an empty table not too far from the stairs, and waited for the food to arrive. I was told the wait was longer than anticipated, owing to the fact that we had specified (being from the North), haddock, not cod.
The food was certainly worth waiting for, lovely fresh fish, freshly fried.
During the wait I reflected that, should Putin decide to push the button, we would be as safe as anywhere. We would certainly be well prepared to face the post nuclear world well - fed.

We were treated to our Christmas present and our first visit to B'nou on Saturday by our great neighbours! Having heard so much positive feedback I really hoped it would not disappoint. It didn't!! The whole, experience was a lovely relaxed evening with great friendly service and really lovely food! We were treated to some new tapas dishes that we would otherwise never have tried. As a lover of real ale the provision of Adnam's Ghost Ship was another unexpected plus and the Rioja was excellent and sensibly priced. Without doubt the reviews of B'nou are wholly justified. Look forward to our next visit, even if I will have to pay!!

Be prepared to be fed well. This is a great healthy, yummy place to try some Jerusalem street food. Tasty schnitzel, fab falafel, houmous, pickles, salads and roasted vegetables. What a treat after a morning of antiques and charity shops. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The coffee is rich and strong. Definitely a firm favourite and will keep coming back
